Downhiller

Nothing spectacular or long. But very good to incorporate into an urban after work ride. All trails have been cleared since storms and some new features built. Tech section near bridge that crosses creek. Some nice log crossings and a drop or two. I ride a +7" travel bike but this could all be ridden on a decent hardtail. Some offshoots require actual riding skill and you will destroy yourself if you just wing it.

You need to go past the pool and the football field all the way to the back right corner of the park. You will see a log cabin type ranger station. There is a pavilion behind that. Go behind the log cabin to the right edge of the woods. You will see a heavily traveled trail. Take this trail. This is a fun one to rip down, watch for walkers and hikers. About 150 yards down this trail on the right is a singletrack trailhead. Take this for some good tight turns, logs, and faster sections. Lots of off camber on this section. This will drop you on a dirt path, hang a left. You'll get to a pump station, hang a left again and pedal back up the dirt path/fireroad. You'll pass a bridge that crosses a creek. Pedal all the way back to the log cabin. Take the same trail, but stay on it until you get to a second right turn. This is a quicker downhill section. Take the offshoot to the right for a tech section around a downed tree. Hit the steep rutted hill down to the bridge. Hang a left again. There is another hidden trail that runs on the ridge behind the football field.

Again, this is not long or spectacular. But if you live in camp hill you will appreciate it. Do not travel to ride this.

Trails on both sides and long loops near the powerline.
