DESCRIPTION

This trail is a jeep road that twists through the valley for three miles before turning into a single track foot path that leads up to the top of the Ko'olau range above H3. The entire trail is almost entirely uphill with very few downhill spurts which makes for a good return trip to the trailhead. There is a rock garden about a half mile in and clearing marks the halfway point. You cross several creek beds. During the rainy season it gets extremely muddy but I still ride, just plan on getting downhill covered in mud. Watch out for pedestrians on walks and hunting groups with dogs, especially on weekends or late in the afternoon during the week.
