The Blue Heron portion is simply a gravel path to the top of a large hill which is not very aggressive. A couple of k's west is a portion of the ganatio trail. (paved) Throughout this area is a network of some pretty good single track pathways that offer a pretty good workout. Not too technical but lots of twists and turns in a very narrow track setting. You could spend a couple hours exploring all the routes. Excellent to practice bike control.
