Finish on the rims, out of round

I would not consider myself a hucker by all means. I'm 185 lbs and ride enduro style riding with no jumps over three feet. The point I'm trying to make is that the wheels should not be out of true with only 18 hrs of riding on a very plush rig. The advantage of having wheels hand built is the fact that they are alot less likley to be knocked out of true and that of course depends on the builders experience and builds under his or her belt. Alot of reviews of rims and wheelsets are tainted by the fact that its all about the builder not just the durability of the rim itself. My mavic 519's hand built locally are still as true as the day they were built after six years of riding. You could have cross country rims that would take more abuse than all mountain rims because the cross country rim was built with care by the builder. For the weight of these rims I don't think they are worth it and it s_cks to have to spend probabaly fifty bucks per wheeel to have them rebuilt with kindness. For all mountain rididng I feel these are overkill, but with the correct build they may be good light freeride wheels.
