Strength:

Made a massive change to my 2011 GT avalanche and look no older than the bike

Weakness:

just gotta keep on top of bearings but all bearings need replacing at some point

All round good wheels strong, light and nice free wheel speeds with the right tyre

Strength:

Cool looking for such a cheap price.

Weakness:

Too weak. I bought a set of these to upgrade from v-brakes. Found a good price on a new set at a shop and they didn't even last 60 miles. I went out on three rides and PING-POP, the rim let loose of one spoke and then the rest followed. With the low number of spokes I had no chance. So I spent more money to get the wheel rebuilt and thought it was due to being an older rim or something like that. Well on my second ride out with them again, I lost the rear wheel. Spokes broke and I nearly killed myself. That was the end of them. Luckily the shop was cool and let me trade them in on a new set of rims. Wish me luck!

I would never get a set of these wheels! They might have been good in their time. I don't know, reading others reviews here some have had luck others have had the same problems as I. IMO, just get a normal set of wheels!

Strength:

They haven't bent yet.

Weakness:

24 spokes? Doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence. Same as below, I've noticed the discs not sitting true on the hubs. QR sucks.

I weigh 240 and ride hard XC / light freeride. I've been amazed that I haven't bent one of these wheels yet.

These wheels came with my last bike, a Trek Fuel 90. The wheels outlasted the frame, among other parts I've destroyed. I've had them almost one year, and have since transfered them over to my Ellsworth Joker. Despite riding harder on the longer-travel bike, I still haven't bent a wheel yet.

Strength:

light (1800 g for a pair), strong, stay true even with a bend spoke. take all beating without complain.

Weakness:

bearing goes out easy and rear hub uses balls only.

This wheel is from the Trek VRX bike which took beating for 4 years. still good rolling and take all beating. 24 spokes looks cool and really does the job. too bad Rolf don't make these no more but most bike shop can do repair. These wheel are awsome!!!

Strength:

Look cool, strong, stay true

Weakness:

Welded rim seam bulges. This features make it hard to true rims. A little heavy.

Ride fast bumpy singletrack. No into doing 5 foot drop-ins or bunny hops up and down picnic tables. Mounted Hutchinson Pythons for the summer and Fire XC Pros in winter. These things came with directions to true the wheels after a few hours. I trued both wheels after about two months of riding 4-5 days per week. Found no flat spots. Did it again after maybe 15 months of riding and these they run strong and straight. Some spokes are even chewed up or were bent. They have this asymmetric x-section. Don't understand the logic, but these worked out to be great wheels for a great price.

Strength:

Super strong wheel, after 5 years of hard bashing and riding still true (broken 6 frames since, wheels never a problem) ridden with broken spokes during races, replaced them after and trued them up again, still stayed true. I am a heavyweight so I am really impressed.

Weakness:

They do not make them anymore

I wish I had a second set as a back up (you know, just in case), if you can get your hands on some hang on to them, chances are you will ride them for the next 5 years (hard at that)_

Strength:

Super tough, Super light

Weakness:

None

These wheels are so tough. I ran over them once with my half ton pickup and they were barely out of wack. I have been using them on my six inch travel Joker and they have held up nicely. I love these wheels.
