DMR Moto Digger Tire

DESCRIPTION

Our new DMR Moto Digger is designed to get the power down in looser and softer trail conditions. The sharp edged, Motocross style tread blocks are profiled to dig deep and find grip where other tyres lose it. Staggered shoulder blocks that wrap round the tyre, give powerful high speed, low angle cornering. Dig?

It's durable without a doubt. My bike got smashed by closing automatic gates and the only thing that survived was, you guessed it, these tires.

    Weakness:

I now feel it's expensive because I have to buy another pair after I bought my first.

I'm in awe. These tires are so great that they even work on polished concrete floors. How neat is that, eh?

    Weakness:

Not as durable as I wanted them to be.

I saved up a mini fortune working for ipswich waste services and the first thing I did was buy a pair of these badasses and hooked them up to my ADV 150. The bike looks like it skipped legged day but you can't argue with performance.

    None so far.

Puncture resistance? Cant really say, you only know the circumstances when you got punctures not all the times the tire has deflected them. Last thing, these are fitted to a mountain bike with spank tweet tweet wheels on the back and a standard mtb wheel on the front and yes, buy these tires now! Excellent all around trail tire, I typically use front and rear. Use on a mix of dry hardpack and loose w/ rocks, as well as medium wet woods trails. I didn't expect the life out of these that I am getting, extremely long wearing. A bargain and something of a secret in the US, DMR should develop and market these tires outside of DJ.

    Weakness:

I guess slightly heavy. Can be unnerving on wet rocks and roots. You will likely want to try new tires before these need replacing.

More sizes, dual ply-versions, protection versions, race versions etc needed in product line-up. Tire is a winner, wake up DMR!

This is a review for the 2.1 wire bead version that weirdly doesn't appear on any website!?

Very durable real world tire, not really a race tire. Tread lasts forever and performs very well on tarmac, and doesn't hum loudly or judder. Hard-pack is great too and loose over is good. Occasionally a little sketchy on pure loose. Grips well on high inflation (road at 40 psi plus).

I've never had a better tire for hard-pack or loose over, but I've had as good a performer for more money with Aramid dual-ply tires at around 500 grams, with a little more pure loose ability, but never with the same durability or price.

Fine in the damp and OK in the wet. If I could give the tire 7 stars for value I would.

The **perfect** muck around everyday commuter do everything high durability training tire. Even well worth considering for hard-pack/loose over/fire trail/DJ/Slope-style racing.
