Strength:

Long tread life, Good grip on pavement

Weakness:

Rolling Resistance! Very heavy as well

These tires make you feel like you're riding in sand. I rode with them after using a cheap pair of IRC Mythos, and the bike felt very sluggish with the Crusaders on. Off-road traction is decent, but you don't get a "locked in" feeling while carving through turns. The tread is thick so I imagine the tires would last an eternity, but they're so heavy and slow that it's not worth it.

Strength:

good grip on loose over hard, sandy conditions here in the SW. Corners well on rear, paired with caballero up front. Wears like iron. Price!

Weakness:

c'mon now, it's a $13 tire, it's all good for the money! You could buy 4 of these for a single maxxis, schwalbe, etc.

I've tried a few cst treads over the last coupla years, have settled on the crusader 2.1 in rear paired with caballero 2.25 up front. Both wear extremely well, I change the crusader at 6 months, maybe 600-700 miles of riding, maybe 1/3 of those on paved bike path commute. This tire does not slip climbing the steeps! Ridden this tire in Hood River, Fruita, Moab, Durango, Evergreen, ABQ it's an excellent dry all-conditions tire, tho I can't speak for wet.

Strength:

These tires made a noticeable difference gripping the trails. It's easier to take downhill and tight corners on off-road trails. In normal to dry conditions they work great.

Weakness:

They start to slip on muddy to wet conditions (especially on wet rocks), but I probably shouldn't have been on the trails in those conditions anyway....

I bought these tires as a step up from the factory cheapo tires my Specialized hard-tail came with. They exceeded my expectations, especially at the price!
