to be seen

By mere good luck a came across a frunt hub and got it for 25€ !!!!! Now i look for a rear hub in red disc or no disc is not so important. Better Disc. A also look for a tool to tighten the fife arm Spider mount of the disc

Beautiful, noisy, red, tough, and titanium that almost sounds like a perfect hub

I've been using these hubs for a REALLY long time now. I've come from a BMX background so I know how to treat things harsh. These are super light xc hubs but they have taken a continual beating for nearly 10 years now. I just changed them onto 717's and I thought about dishing the hubs for some newer ones but decided they sill work perfectly so why bother. They are so simply put together it's rediculous, my gran could service them, I've only serviced them once, and I'm out every weekend in British weather. If you're thinking of buying some from ebay or wherever, then do it. You won't regret it.

toughest used so far..

Weakness:

Again, the toughest used so far, although I am a weekend warrior, I ride my bike frequently during the week, lotsa off road, and have time to test my equipment, I am very happy with my hope hubs so far..
Another point, if ur gonna buy online stuff, try to stay away from airbomb.com, they send you the wrong stuff (they did that twice to me) and try to charge you for their own mistake), just a little warning..

Strength:

Made in the UK
Looks great
Lightweight but tough
Wonderful engineering
Bombproof
Fantastic bearings
Hope disc compatible
... everything a hub should be...

Weakness:

Absolutely nothing

These have got to be the best hubs anyone has ever made. I'm on my second set (the old ones weren't disc compatible, so had to go!) in about 5 years.
The first set were used and abused for 2 years, with no problesm at all. When I replaced them, they still looked new, the bearings were perfect and the only marks on them were on the flanges where the spokes went through! Impossible to fault.
I now run another set, splined for my Hope C2 discs, and they have stood up to abuse equally well. They're still as smooth as the day I built them into a wheel, they look great, they're light... what else can I say? They are, for want of a better expression, perfect. I have nothing negative to say about them - even the price. These hubs last so long that the initial purchase price is exceptional value in the long term.
People buy Chris King headsets and keep them for 10 years, as the product simply refuses to die. I would say the same of these hubs.

ive got a bulb hub on a mavic 521cd with straight gauge spokes and it is the best thing since sliced bread , it make a really strong and non flexing wheel and the best thing is its made in britain , everyone go buy one now . on the down side its a little expensive( but worth it )

I have the Big 'un and it is a great hub. I like the way the spokes attach although it's odd for wheel building. The nicest feature is how the disc bolts directly to the hub in a much larger BCD than Hayes, and other disc hubs/discs. Hope thought of all the details on this hub.

hey man these are the stuff dreams are made of. light and strong baby. I am a big guy some would even say huge at 245lbs. but i have run these hubs for the last 3 years with no problemo. now you may say nut its flat in texas. i would agree, but these babies have made trip to durango, tahoe and moab plus the punishment of my local trail. they have been nothing but sweet under my phatt ass, never let me down and i do not expect them to ever.

I've been running Ti rear and suspension front for 4 years now and they still run as sweet as new - zero maintenance. British mud, London potholes, Spanish dust and headplants into French ditches haven't hurt a bit. The only problem I've had is when changing my old XTR 8-speed cassette for a new ('97) XT one - there's some lateral play in the cassette that needs shimming out. Great product.

well when you want the best, you have to pay for it...

These hubs are a revalation. After years of faffing around with Shimano hubs that needed regular servicing, and years of regularly killing rear freehub mechanisms these hopes are a dream come true. They spin so well, the other day I was trueing my wheel and I spent ages marvelling in the fact that the rims always span round so the hole in the hub was at the top. The bearings are incredible. If you don't believe me go up to someone using Hope hubs and ask to spin the front wheel, not too hard mind or you'll be there all day :)this is just the kind of product I love, sheer quality that'll outlast it's cheaper alternatives many many times over. I'll bend a lot of rims over the years but I don't see myself changing my hubs again. (maybe for Hope discs)Oh and the clicking noise the rear ti-glide makes is just divine... hated it at first but now I love it. it's as if my bike is screaming at me WHY AREN'T YOU PEDALLING!!! or maybe that's just me.... ;)
