DESCRIPTION

From loose snow to icy freeze-thaw and everything in between, Wrathchild craves the best and worst winter conditions. Deep center lugs aggressively claw into unconsolidated snow for extreme acceleration and braking traction. Super tall side lugs dig into loose snow to provide predictable and confident cornering. Encounter sheer ice on your ride and Wrathchild’s XL concave studs tear into the surface.

Strength:

Tubeless ready.

Weakness:

Studs are very long. Maybe ok for deep snow but the long studs tend to rip out.

I put the 27.5 X 3.0 on my ebike so maybe that disqualifies my review because of the added torque. The width is pretty much 3.0 with low pressure. Granted the ebike has more torque so maybe I was a little too aggressive but on the first ride I ripped out a boat load of studs on the rear. Besides being a little too aggressive I didn't get a chance to do the 20 mile break in on smooth ground first. That being said the studs are way too long. I found some studs on bikestud.com that were reasonably priced and put them in my wrathchilds. The replacement studs are smaller. Hopefully the replacement studs will stay in place. I will slow down a little for the next rides and update my review if possible. The tubeless setup is awesome and the lugs are huge.
