Bomb proof axle design, 32mil sanchions are solid, air preload and rebound control adjustments
Heavy, annoying top out noise
Although I say heavy, that is in comparison to my bros circus experts. My 2013 dj1 is at least 2 lbs heavier. But, it's solid. I have came up short on some big ass hits and they needed no repairs.

20mm TA, sensitive rebound adjustment, plush movement, Marzocchi aesthetics are pleasing
A bit on the heavy side
Got lucky to came across one of these and slapped it on my new 2011 FS XC. Considering it is a 2008 model, I am still very happy with how it holds up. It has everything you would expect, the adjustments are sensitive and correspond with accuracy when dialing. The 20mm TA provides a solid front end with instantaneous handling and a sturdy landing/rebound on front end impacts. Soaks up small bumps well enough to get by trail riding and definitely provides a good confidence level for advanced XC and DJ'ing.
Since it only has 100mm travel, I've yet to try it on AM/DH terrain, but I'm sure it'll hold out with the PSI jacked up. Doesn't compare well to the newer 150-160mm travel shocks but then again, that's a different class. For a 100mm shock, I'd say this is top notch, it'll give you everything needed in the 4 inches it has to work with.

solid
weight, perhaps for some
I use it as a xc fork. If you are a heavy guy, you should give it a try as such. You just feel the stability you get when going very slow or fast in not so easy terrain. You won`t go back to your 1800g fork, promise. Stability at the front end makes all the difference. Else: good function with all I need. For what you get very low priced.

Alloy steertube, air/rebound adjustment, not very expensive for a dirt fork, looks good.
Little bit heavy.
It's much better then the dj3, and you can adjust all the things you need. It's only annoying that the first few mm are a little bit soft. The price/quality relationship off the dj1 is much better then the agryle 318 in my opinion.

Sweet deal off ebay when the exchange rate was in my favor. Strong no fuss fork. Heaps of adjustability.
No weaknesses found yet.
The bottom line to me is that these will always be ready to take a beating during the day as long as they are given some respect and TLC in the morning... Ha ha!

Strong, stiff
HEAVY
A decent fork, but way too heavy. Even for a dirt jump fork, it's too heavy. It is very durable though, if you're not at all concerned about a 100mm fork weighing 6.3 lbs (mine actually weighed 6.3, even with the steer tube cut). It's cheap compared to the argyle I guess.

I have a gold edition from a Kona Bass, looks crazy. The traveling is nice, you able to play with the air preasure.Rebound works perfectly.
The end of the leg is not the best. Can anybody tell me what is the sound when i push down the fork? It makes me nerveus...
In the end, its a nice fork. looks good, works well, but i hate that sound...

Great looks (white legs, black staunchions and crown) and superior finish. The white legs look super polished, especially at night under lights. Very strong and stiff fork, perfect for dj's and street riding. The air pressure preload / compression is easy to use and the rebound adjust works very well. The response to rebound adjustments is excellent - you can really feel the difference with just a few clicks. Easy to dial in, "set and forget".
None noted. Even the stickers now actually stay on and look super cool - with a big busted angel woman! Woo Hoo!
If you want strong, sexy, easy to tune forks for street or dirt jumps - these are the go. I highly recommend them.
