These shoes are the funkiest shoes ever created on earth. They are very comfortable and I was quite happy with the way they felt. They are a big clunky shoe, but I like that kind of thing on my feet. The leather is very nice and the stylin' design hauls serious ass. However, there was a slight malfunction to my so-called SPD compatable shoes they call race vogs. The sole was to be made of a material flexible enough to walk in, yet stiff enough to bike with, without it breaking down. There is however, no such material known to man, so the soles on my shoes decided that they would start to crack. As a Canadian I stand proud of companies such as Race Face ( who rule by the way)greatly because of the way that they handle service and their customers. Their products are top notch quality too, don't get me wrong. I sent them back through the store and they had offered money-back no problem, even when I bought them almmost a year ago. No recipts, and thats the way it should be damn it. They were comfy shoes and I could give them five stars easily due to the funkifying looks, but I'll stick with four just to be fair and safe.

Good Looking shoe

Weakness:

Not good for Cycling

HAHAHA! Oh you silly Canadians.... This shoe does indeed look good and has only been riden in the city, however the mid sole broke after 5 rides. I contacted FlueVog, they were aware of this problem and had Explained that this shoe was Re-Called...hmmmm! But non the less they did re-sole them with regular angel soles for no charge.

These shoes get LOTS of attention. Whether at the mall or the race all heads turn to me. It also helps that they are comfortable and work great. Fells like you're wearing clunkers from the 70's but hey, they are the coolest. I give them 5 flaming craps for function and fashion.

These shoes look cool, but they have a few problems. First the soles are too thich and you feel like you are walking on platform shoes. This is not good for technical dismounts or hiking. Another problem is that they are way too heavy and awkward for mountain biking or walking but they look good on your feet if your laying on the couch. Add to this glowing review the fact that the soles are coming unglued and you have a good picture of the quailty of these shoes. They were also expensive. Call me a sucker for style but I'll give the vogs one star.

People, these are Fashion shoes not technical shoes. Yes they are meant for bike rides but not for huge distances. These are meant to be worn, say if you were meeting people at a restaurant or coffee, you ride your bike (short distances) and get off of it and you're ready to go.

There are many shoes that look like technical shoes but are really only made for looks and cannot withstand their original purpose.

Strength:

Damn funky,
chicks dig 'em

Weakness:

None, if used for their intended purpose...

All you yankees giving these mod shoes a bad wrap have no idea what their intended purpose is. They're for ridding down to the Starbucks or the local irrigation lounge, not hammering the local trails. Jhon Fluevog is all about style. Comfort and function is a sacrifice, one I'm willing to make. When you understand this, you will attain the higest level of MTB Chi... until then, stick with you're fruity roadie-inspired italian slippers. Five chili's for style. What else matters?
