Answer Speeder MTN Shoes Shoes

DESCRIPTION

As you can tell by the lovely image seen here, the 2006 Speeder has an all-new upper design. While the most important development here is the three strap, center reversed, closure system (with laces), die hard fans of all colors "muted" will contend that it is actually the color scheme.

Specifications

  • Hi-Traction rubber compound sole with stiff hard sole Breathable mesh upper

    Strength:

    Sturdy, Comfortable, lightweight, breathable, durable.

    Weakness:

    Velcro.

I have had the same pair for about 6 years now. They have lasted this long with absolutely zero issues. I have used them for MTB as well as road biking because it is easier to walk around in than the bulky road shoes found.

    Strength:

Fiberglass sole. Both ties and velcro straps.
Well vented and has threads for studs. Nice design. Comfortable.

    Weakness:

Weight 970g. Not very easy to walk, but it is meant to be for cycling.

If you are beginner this is for you. You will have good power transfer and no problems cycling. Still weight is too much for racing but for pleasure is OK.

    Strength:

Price, especially when combined with Crank Brothers pedals. Great first clipless cycling shoe!

    Weakness:

After about 6 months of use, the outsole started to separate from the rest of the shoe. Sections of rubber were falling off, so I pulled them totally off and kept using the shoes.

These shoes fit well and for the price, served me very well. I have raced XC for about 2 years now with them and though they do show the miles, they are still going to be my rain/mud shoes in the future. Pick these up with some Crank Brothers pedals and you have the perfect entry level clipless setup.
