MET Parabellum Helmet

DESCRIPTION

A whole new allmountain generation. Its large visor on the front characterizes the new Parabellum just as the entanglement of the two shells clearly visible at the rear. It has excellent head coverage for such a feather- weight. It is without a doubt the best all-mountain helmet.

Strength:

Light, ventilated, good shape

Weakness:

retention system

This would be an awesome helmet, if only the retention system would not give you headaches. And this wasn´t only me, but 4 more riders that test rode my helmet had the same issue. The back retention system digs into your head causing headaches after a while... this apparently is a production problem, and they are working on fixing this.

I hope they do!

Strength:

Good looks, light weight, good fit.

Weakness:

Foam inserts fall apart. Expensive.

This helmet is awesome, if a little expensive. The only problem encountered was with the padded foam inserts that stick to the velcro. If you sweat a bit, these will disintergrate within 6 months.

Ventilation, weight, looks, retention system.

Weakness:

Big fat humungous zero

This skidlid looks the part, extremely cheap in comparison to other helmets of this quality. You can tell the R&D and thought thats gone into it, 4 point connection for the visor, 30 vents (gets a bit chilly in the uk though), the retention system is the best aspect, theres a strap going all the way round the inside of the helmet that tightens as you push the clips tighter, keeping the helmet securely fitted to your bonce. Its also one of the lightest helmets on the market (yep, anorak me weighed a few). Seriously, don't even think twice, just size it and hand over your hard-earned.

Looks awesome - helmets look dorky, but this one makes you want to wear it. Great Colours
Perfect Fit

Weakness:

none so far

I love this helmet. Looks awesome, and feels so breezy and fits so well that it makes you WANT to wear it.

I've been road riding for over 10 years, and have never worn a helmet before. The helmets I've tried were clunky and hot and just plain irritating. The MET Parabellum however, is just sweet - plain and simple.

I'd get a Stradivarius if it had a visor - the only way that you can get a better helmet than a Parabellum is to get another MET - the Stradivarius, just too bad it doesn't have a visor.

I give it a perfect score, coz it made me a believer.

Quality finish with the exterior plastic moulded to the shell. V Good ventillation. Good fit with a really nice adjustment system and comfy straps

Weakness:

Price. I paid $150.00 Aussie (But you get what you pay for) Not many spare pads with the helmet

I think that MET did a big overhaul on this helmet for 2000. I like this Helmet. As soon as I put it on it felt like a good fit and I didn't have to play around with it much. It has a great adjustment system that is easy to alter. There is a band that goes all the way around your head that is tightned by the rear adjustment straps. It pretty much guarantees a good fit (Unless you have a cone head) The straps are nice a well. All in all a much better helmet than my 98 Bell Image Pro (Replaced on age and stench grounds). Kudos to Bell though as one of their helmets saved me from being a vegetable. Someone has put a lot of thought into this MET helmet and it shows.
