Lightweight, super breathable material on the back of the hand, touchscreen compatible

Somewhat uncomfortable, not as easy to get on as a glove with a Velcro closure, low quality (and not very breathable) leather on the palm

This review is for what I believe was the 2012 model of the glove. I am a little disappointed with the RF podium glove. I've had a great experience with both my Race Face bike components and softgoods and this is the first item from the company that has let me down. The lightweight back and the touchscreen compatible fingers are the highlights of the glove and those strengths alone are the reasons Ill keep using them. I think one of the main issues with the glove is the fit. The fingers are a bit too long for me but its in the palm where I run into major issues. As this is a pull on glove the fit in the palm is a little tight and this wouldn't be an issue but because the seams are so big they end up digging into your hand. After about an hours use I had lines from the seams all over my hands. The other issue is that the leather on the palms is very cheap and not breathable. It's to the point that I thought there was cardboard in the gloves when I first got them, but its just that the leather is stiff. It really takes away from the connection with the bars and makes the issue with the fingers worse because the stiffness pushes that extra material forward. The padding on the palms is minimal, almost non-existent. I have only used these gloves for about an hour and I'm sure they'll break in nicely but it won't be fun getting them to that point. I bought these as backup gloves and definitely would not buy them as a primary set of gloves. I'm currently using the Giro Monaco LF's as my primary gloves and have used a set of Bontrager gloves in the past. The best way to describe the podiums are as a pull on glove with the backing of either the Giros or Bontys but with the palm of a mechanics glove.
