Strength:

Cheap, Strong spindle axle, 2 side loose ball system, easy to maintain, adjustable tension for weak legs like mine makes good for newbies. Shiny metal looks :)

Weakness:

Stuck when clip out, if this happen you have to pull then twist. Can be fixed with new cleats or re-adjust the spring tension though.

In Comparison of the same price Shimano M520 which I bent the plastic axle lock in 2 weeks LOL this exustar pedal is much much better. For the same price I feel appreciated because the spindle is strong cr-mo. I use this mainly for climbing 20-25% grade as the steepest - hammering all way up and still spin smooth after a year of usage with perfect straight spindle.

Only need 6mm allen key and what I like is just open the dust seal and cover, and blow with high pressure air compressor to remove the grease and re-grease. It's all good as new without need to adjust the cone tension.

Mud clearance is the same with other SPD pedal.
