Strength:

Nice shifting, quite, reliable, no problem at simple off-road tracks, with ~1ft drops.

Weakness:

Maybe shifting under full load during uphill, but not something really annoying.

This is a nice, value-for-money derailleur for someone who knows that he is not a pro, and just likes to ride on the hills around his town. Try it, and if you brake it then you are better than it, buy a better one. But if you are not interested in records, why spend in advance much more money on something that you might never over-use it?

Strength:

Cheap, Reliable.

Weakness:

Noisy.

I cycled 800 miles on every sort of track you can imagine alongside a bike with Deore gears and the difference is minimal. With a decent knowledge of gear systems these are absolutely fine, anyone that says different is probably just not a very good cyclist.

Strength:

Well at first very nice. Smooth shifting, Fast shifting.

Weakness:

Plastic...This product was not made for off road use. It Is very cheep and is made really for on road use only.

Like everyone said get ready to replace it! Really when you get a bike that has it on it, replace it immediately. Its a hazard on the trail, and its no fun to have to walk your bike back to the starting stage.

Strength:

was smooth for the first month

Weakness:

Deraileur exploded into three pieces while doing 35mph going downhill. I have a bike computer and yes, I was going 35 when it fell apart. It was not pretty. The gears are plastic, not metal.

Toss the deraileur and get a different model or a different brand. It is not worth your safety to keep it.

Strength:

really quiet at first, smooth shifting at first too.

Weakness:

chain bends the cage and hops out of it. Really bad noisy shifting when slightly sandy.Chain keeps hopping to the side of the bottom tension pulley because it's bent.

If this derailleur came on your bike be prepare to replace it with something better. It came stock on my bike which I have had less than a month, so this shouldn't have happened so soon. I am going to try to bend everything back to normal. I'm giving it 2 flaming things because it was quiet and smooth when it worked.
