This review might too late but I'm going to add it anyway - hopefully no one is buying or using this anymore...

I wish, wish, WISH I had seen these reviews of this %#@$# seat post a month ago!
I had the absolute worst nightmare accident - riding without hands and while drinking from a water bottle at 15mph on smooth level asphalt, BANG!!! the seat post bolt snapped and I went off backwards. All of my 190lbs landed on the right gluteus maximus - thank god I missed the tailbone!! Happened in a split second - I didn't know what hit me, took several minutes to think if 911 was needed - I felt my guts shake.
When I saw the seat and the bolt I thought it was a freak material accident or defect, maybe because it was old or over-tightened....? But reading these reviews makes me very very angry - this thing should've been recalled at the very least.
Hopefully it isn't being made anymore and hopefully, whether it is or not, this and these reviews will warn others from buying or even using it - or to stop using it!
It's seriously DANGEROUS, if not more serious...
There's no redeeming qualities if safety can't be maintained, period.
I'm no stranger to nasty accidents but this was the hardest hit ever - I never imagined a seat post bolt would shear off like that.
This "thing" came stock on my Schwinn Homegrown (blue frame) (which I love).

    Nice look.

    Weakness:

Single bolt design. Bolt sheared off causing me significant injury.

As many others have commented, remove this seat post immediately if you have it on a bike. I am another injury statistic as a result of this seat post . The single bolt that holds the seat clamp together sheared off last night when I was riding 15 mph on a blacktop road. The seat fell into my wheel and caused me to crash. I now have a broken vertabre and thumb. Luckily, I was riding late at night with no traffic. Had this been earlier in the day, I would have been at high risk of getting run over and killed by an automobile. I bike thousands of miles a year and never imagined that my first accident would be the result of the seat breaking off of my bike. This product should be recalled. It is extremely dangerous.

    Strength:

The post itself is fine. Black anodized finish looks decent.
Very few people are buying it anymore so fewer will be impaled on the post and/or crash

    Weakness:

The clamp is poorly designed from cheap materials, fits together awkwardly, comes loose, strips the metal, and breaks

Do not buy this product. It should have been recalled, actually it should never have been made. Titec says in their promo material: "Everyone deserves our new X-Wing clamp technology". This is the biggest joke in the MTB industry.
What is the premise of the "X-wing Clamp Technology" supposed to be? That it is made of flimsy metal and the top is shaped like an "X" to cut away a few more grams of weight? The seatpost clamp is not a good place to do that. The top and bottom of the clamp fit together poorly, come loose, then it's either going to snap the bolt or snap the lower plate itself.

Looks cool, easily adjustable seat angle, doesn't flex much

    Weakness:

    Single bolt clamp is weak

This is the seatpost that came on my Giant NRS 2. There is a single bolt which clamps the seat into place. I have sheared this bolt off twice in the last two years, each time sending the seat flying. Luckily I've avoided any serious injuries, but I'm definitely switching to a different seatpost now. I weigh ~185 lbs and each time the bolt sheared I was riding a little harder than average, but nothing extreme. It's unacceptable that the bolt shears so easily.

Flexy, Very Flexy, Single fastener comes loose every now and then.

It was hard to tell rear suspension travel from seatpost flex with this thing. It finally bent and I think I'm happy it did so now it can go where it belongs.. Trash. I wouldn't by this if you going to have more than 3" of post exposed.

Held up for just over a year! Even though it is out of warranty, Titec is sending me a X-Wing Pro for free. Nice service. If they had only been there to ride my f*cking no seat bike back to the car...

    Weakness:

The bolt sheared in half. Almost an ugly accident.

Product is sh*t, Titec service is great.

    Clamp!

I had trouble with the clamp becoming loose during rides. Called Titec and got the replacement parts. A few months later the top portion of the clamp or the bolt must have broken because something broke while I was riding and I almost got the seat post up my A#%! I'm going to buy another brand.

    This seatpost sucks!
It came with my bike brand new. During the first trial ride, the join, where the saddle and the post are connected, broke. I had to ride standing up for three miles back to the parking lot.
