Strength:

Very light. Braking bite is good. Brakes are Avid Elixir R SL.

Weakness:

Has random tendency to warble, like a stabbed Turkey. Best remedy is to go with organic, aftermarket pads and switch to Avid/SRAM HSX floating rotors.

Strength:

Very lightweight, less fade, and quiet.

Weakness:

None that I have experienced.

These rotors are a the best upgrade to an Avid BB7 brake. The original BB7 steel rotor bolts weigh 16 grams per wheel. The titanium XX bolts weigh only 8 grams per wheel. My 140mm rear XX rotor weighs only 84 grams and the front 160mm weighs about 100 grams. This is a huge weight loss over the original rotors. The two piece system also helps stop vibration.
