Amazing bike. Super light and responsive. The mono stays help take some of the harsh bump out. It doesn't feel like your riding aluminum. Worth every penny.

Strength:

Geometry, weight, appearance. The enlightenment is just a perfect hardtail race frame.

Weakness:

It is a bit harsh but I haven't been on an aluminum race frame yet that wasn't. Bottom bracket is a bit low when using an 80 mm fork. From the ground to the center of my bottom bracket is 11.75 inches.

Like the below poster, I had to do a little work to the brake mount. Just took a little file and about 30 seconds. Nothing major.

It isn't cheap but what top of the line frame worth having is?

This bike is awesome. It is a great race bike however it is a bit harsh for all day epic rides. The bike is perfect for what it was designed for.

The enlightenment is extremely fast. I have never been on a bike that handles like the enlightenment. It really shines in the tight trails, it turns almost effortlessly.

The bike is beautiful as well. The annodizing and the shot peening are top notch. There is just something about this bike that gets your attention.

Oh, almost forgot, it is pretty light as well. My 18" frame weighs 1480 grams.

This is a top of the line, super fast XC bike that loves to race and loves to climb. I have been riding if for a week and i have already forgotten what I paid for it. Been on full suspension for 3 years and will never go back, you can't beat a proper hard tail. Not to mention its an Ellsworth!
