Good overall spec, plus size types (verdict on Schwalbe tyres not in yet). 34mm fork a definite improvement on previous forks that I have ridden.

Waiting to see what tyre durability is like. None picked up yet but only had bike for 10 days.

Been looking for a mid travel trail bike since I lost mine off the back of a trailer. Got this a week before cycling Sani2C in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa this week. For some perspective this is a 260km 3 day stage race with a mix of jeep track, fast flowing and rooty forest trails, steep switchbacks, steep and long ascents plus some rocky steep technical ascents. Had hardly ridden bike and setup was not perfect but this bike was the bomb. My first time on the larger wheel size (previous bike was a Giant Anthem X1, 26er) and on the 1 by 11 format. Grip was amazing except on the wet sections where it tended to glide over the top rather than cut through the mud. This was expected based on all the reviews. The wide types kick up serious mud and can foul the fork but this was really deep thick mud. That aside everything else was incredible. Grip was amazing and for a bike of this weight in climbed like a beast, especially on the looser stuff. I could not pick up any increase in rolling resistance over my old 26er. Acceleration was a bit slower as expected. Fork tracked brilliantly and handling was sharp. I was surprised as the head angle was a lot slacker than my previous bike. This was most likely due to the short stem. Would seriously recommend this bike. Not just a trail bike but worked exceptionally well as a stage/marathon bike. Can't wait to get it onto some less congested trails. Potential upgrades would be lighter carbon rims and possibly even a set of 29er wheels if you are more into stage racing/marathons.
