Banshee Bikes Scream Freeride Full Suspension

DESCRIPTION

The adjustability of the cockpit geometry and suspension settings makes the Scream the ultimate freeride bike. The increased rigidity makes the ride even tighter on skinnies and sketchy terrain. The dropouts have 3 wheelbase positions and fit 12mm through axle hubs with 150mm OLD spacing. The brake caliper adjusts with the wheelbase and most disc brakes fit.

Strength:

This thing is a beast going downhill. It will plow through it all and still provide the rider with absolute stability.

Weakness:

Heavy when climbing..so you need a STRONG rider.

This bike is meant for downhill aggressive riding. The frame & overall structure are built to withstand a nuclear blast. Of all the bikes I rode, this bike provide the best downhill support. I usually experience lower back pain after a ride but with this bike I feel NO back pain or very minimal. My bike is over 5 years old and still ride like my new bike.

Strength:

This frame is meant to last. Itll take a beating and still stand tall. Its adjustable for diffrent geometries of the bike. Looks menacing and beastly, and is a pure point-and-shoot bike for the trails.

Weakness:

Not going to lie, this thing is heavy. My rigs 45 pounds, so its a good workout to keep pedaling on flat or uphill. Also, the original version had horizontial dropouts, which kinda worried me when im running my QR on the back.

Although this frame may be a bit on the heavier side, it will help build up muscle when riding your local trails. The amount of beating this thing can take and the price you can get it at makes it unbelievably awesome for DH'ing. Sure theres better stuff, but the Scream will always be my first bike that ill never get rid of.

unfortunetely it's to heavyyy to be able to see some positives... of course it's good quality, stiff, solid, etc... but at the moment all top frames have those features but all of them are much, much lighter

Weakness:

ridiculous heavy

if you are looking for bigger muscules and for less fun from riding bike this frame is FOR YOU !!! I sold mine 1 month ago...

Strength:

Looks Cool, performs great when suspension is set up correctly. virtually indestructible. Pedals well for a full-suspension bike

Weakness:

13lbs is heavy for a frame. Interrupted seat-post is a pain if you don't have a telescopic one.

Great Freeride/Downhill(Freehill) bike that won't cost too much used. The Scythe would be a better option if money is not an issue.

Strength:

Solid frame, solid suspension, handles well, looks cool. Also can stand up and pedal uphill without breaking traction.

Weakness:

Heavy. I think that's the only negative thing you can say about it. I put a 32 tooth front ring on and I ride with guys on 25 pound cross country bikes all the time. Sure they pull ahead on the climbs, but I leave them in the dust going down.

For a beefy guy who pushes it, this is a perfect bike.

Damn BEAST, Takes anything I throw at it, I will probably break before the bike does. I love this bike alot and its definitly worth what you paid for.

Weakness:

I'm 14 and I find it very heavy, scaled at 44 pounds with my build, on flat you have to pedal alot harder cause of the weight.

For the price I paid, I got a hell of a deal. I've been getting offers for 2 grand and up. This is so awesome downhill and ok when you decide to hit some jumps and chuck the bike around. Just get some powerfull brakes and your good to go.

strong, stiff, lots of travel, good pedaler, very adjustable

Weakness:

very heavy, pivot just started to squeak

i originally got the bike for dhing and drops, but i dont do that much anymore. with an avy on the rear i could plow thru anything without a flinch. drops were handled easily as well. now i have it setup for xc with a dual ring, weighs in at 46lbs. cant go much lighter without spending big money. will work as a casual xc rig, but i need to buy a lighter bike with less travel if im serious about long rides

perfect bike for what i originally bought it for. doable bike for what i use it for now

totally unbreakable. the thing is a complete beast. pretty sexy too when its set up right. when your ripping down steep technical stuff it feels like you are riding on rails. awesome bike. suspension design soaks up every little bump, but reacts well on larger drops as well. when your bombing down steep stuff the bike feels like weighs 20 pounds

Weakness:

i guess its a little heavy, 48 pounds with my set up, but you get used to it.

awesome bike. totally confidence building. took it up to colonnade recently and the thing was a beast. if you set it up right and DONT put a huge seat, 3.0 wide tires, and super monsters on it, its actually pretty good on weight. perfect bike for people who arent to worried about crazy modern linkage and downhill bikes that weigh as much as xc bikes. also a perfect bike for larger riders. unbreakable, sexy, and rides like its on rails

Very Strong frame and Components. High Quality as well. Handles very well considering the weight. Bombs down any hill you throw at it. Very comfortable at high speeds.

Weakness:

Very Heavy at around 55-60 lbs. (But, will never break on you.

A great downhill bike that can take anything you want to runover or off of. Components require very little maintenance.

Amazing bike, If you want something you can trust its this bike. I'm not afraid of running things over. It's not the lightest bike but the performance makes up for it.
