Surface 604 Element Electric Fat Bikes

Boldly roll where no one has rolled before with the Element WideGrip Edition electric fat bike. Twice as wide as standard mountain-bike treads, its broad four-inch tires float through snowy trails and track along sandy beaches to take you places you couldn’t otherwise ride to.

The Element’s super-light aluminum-alloy 6061 custom-built frame offers easier pedaling than other fat bikes. Riding in sand and snow with wide tires still presents a challenge, so this Element provides a 350-watt (750-watt peak) brushless motor in the rear hub to help you on your way. The 36-volt lithium-ion battery delivers enough power for a 20-mile (32-kilometer) ride and helps you hit a speed of 20 mph (32 km/h). The Element will get where you’re going more quickly and you will have more energy when you arrive.

Push a button to choose a power mode (low, medium, and high) based on how much pedal assistance you want. Save power for a long ride on a sandy shore or give yourself a big boost to climb a snowy mountain-trail. The seven-speed Shimano gear system helps you bike hills. You can remove the 8.5-lb (3.9-kg) battery when you want to shed weight. The battery requires 6-8 hours to charge, enabling you to juice up overnight for tomorrow’s ride. The rack behind the seat holds the battery and the gear you’ll bring on your new, bolder adventures.
