Strength:

Very strong and light frame, excellent value

Weakness:

Originally available as a rigid bike

The Univega CB carbon fiber/ kevlar frame is the best carbon fiber frame I have used. After 7+ years of its original purchase is still intact, even after the severe punishment of racing in the Baja desert. The Giant Cadex and Trek frames I had the chance to test developed severe fractures after a short time of heavy racing use. Univega's design uses Kevlar as reinforcement and alluminum joints in all the stress points. It is a shame Univega did not continue producing these carbon frames. So, bottom line: if you see one of these babies in an auction site or garage sale, GO FOR IT!!!
