Strength:

EXCELLENT construction on frame. Considering when I bought this bike, it was very nice to have full compatibility for disc brakes right out of the box.

Weakness:

The stem and headset that came stock with this bike were just horrible, so I purchased the bike with some other components (impulse buy). I got a longer, lower stem and a flat CF bar, which have been great. In general, the quality of the components is "ok", but I've been slowly replacing everything. The crankset that comes with the bike is great for beginners, but is a tad on the heavy side. I have yet to replace this.
The fork that comes with this bike is pretty uninspiring as well, but that was swapped for a Judy SL, so things are much better now.
All in all, the only weaknesses that this bike has is the low-level components that it came with, and that is only because this bike was built to meet a price point. For what I paid, I got a LOT from this bike. The derraileurs aren't XTR, but don't dog on Deore level components too much. They have been very solid and had an incredibly long lifespan for me.

Don't kid yourself. You're buying a frame. It is an EXCELLENT frame that you're buying. Overall fit an finish on the frame is top notch. The welds are clean, the paint is nicely done, the bosses for disc brakes, etc. are laid out well. The components that come on the bike will make it at least through your first season with this bike unless you're just insanely hard on stuff. As things break / wear / you can afford it, upgrade.

This has been the best bike that I've ever owned, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bike. With the suspension seatpost and the Judy SL, it's a VERY plush but still realtively light bike for not a lot of cash.

Strength:

Once modified a bit, this bike is an absolute rocket. It climbs decently. Very manuverable. Faster than stink. Corners on the edge. Great ride stock, also price. Confidence inspiring downhill.

Weakness:

I thought a Tomac 98 Special Comp would've been better, wrong. NONE.

Any begginer wanting to get into the sport should buy this bike, if they still have them. It's worth more than it costs. A confidence inspiring bike in any situation. Once modified with a new fork and discs it is a world beater. Also all other components are great too. Accelerates to 35 instantly. Great for racing as well, though my bike isn't exactly stock. Will smoke my Tomac in an instant, makes me sad, and many others. Oh, make sure to buy stiffer springs for the Psylo, on any bike, no matter what your weight. Also, Panaracers grip great on snow and especially ice, i.e. Michigan winters.
