Strength:

It's easy to handle. It's low weight (12 kg). You can climb with it, because the frame is o.k..The quality is good.

Weakness:

The shimano Alivio is good for beginners, but with the time and a lot of tour's you need a better equipment.

I think for this money, you can't become nothing better. The quality of a product is good, there aren't problems with the bike..But with the time (if you make about 1.500-2.000 miles per year) you need a better equipment as Alivio. Maybe Deore or LX..But I'm still satisfied with the bike.

Strength:

It has a really great frame, I can't seem to bend it! It also has a comfortable ride, the frame really cuts the trails into pieces!

Weakness:

The components really need an upgrade though, but until they ware out they will do fine.

One of the best bikes for the money, it can really compete against the big boys...!

Strength:

Frame construction and geometry.

Weakness:

Components, stem, seatpost, etc.

The bike is my favorite to ride of all listed. Excellent feel and handling. Geometry is quick and agile. My first Univega was an Alpina Uno from the mid 80s. I still have it and when I decided to get back into mountain biking, I looked at Univega. Too bad they're not sold in the US any longer. I have been pleased with the performance of this bike and frame. I did repaint it with a custom paint job and decals after causing some severe scratches. (Didn't like the color anyway). Overall, if you can find one reasonably priced, I recommend checking it out for beginners to mid-level recreational riders. This isn't a racer.
