I just got into mountain biking and did not want to spend an arm and a leg on a bike that I didn't even know if I was going to ride. The Rover 305 suits my needs great. The componets are made by names you can trust and are very durable. The front fork shocks really make for a smoother ride and going down hill make the biek handle a lot better. If you are in the market for an entry level bike look no further then the Univega Rover 305.
