Radial laced spokes came loose until LBS loc-tite them.

This bike rocks... and flies over them also. This bike retailed for 899 CDN. It's features include a cromoly frame with unique DBS(direct braize system) welds which yields a super forgiving and handling bike. The fork is a RocShox JettXC with Hydra-coil technology for a plush 80 mm of travel.
The components are STXRC except for the rear der. and Avid Single Digit 1.0 directpull brakes. The crank set is some cheap peice of crap but it does the job and keeps the price down. The coolest thing about this bike though has gotta be the colour... BLACK with a red shock, hey I'll be cool as long as this bike lasts. Oryx also uses a Velo seat that looks indestructable and feels good on the sensative areas. The only thing that I have changed so far are the tires, but come dry weather I'll most likely use the stock tires again. Radial laced hubs(once you get them tight) look cool and perform well. I love this bike... just wish I had more money and could have gotten and Oryx Pure Gold. Maybe some day I'll earn a sponsor.

cross country

i just broke the frame doing some serious jumping

i submitted a review before, and since then i got into some more aggresive free riding. i put jr t's on it and was saving up for an fs frame. when today i broke the top tube right off the head tube jumping a nine-stair. this has been a good bike for me and would be for less aggresive riders more into cross country.buy it just ride around on

Can take almost any abuse you throw at it. Very solid frame and decent components

Mine came with Indy Cs and they don't give much travel

Fun bike for beating around, could use a bunch of upgrading but can handle all my needs
