Strength:

The Water Bottle that came with it.

Weakness:

Weaker than bubble wrap, frame is ugly and weak, none of the components worked correctly, have to manhandle it just to get it to steer. Can't get a good feel for the crank, blew out the rear shock on the first ride, it' a leadsled. To summarize it all, everything. When the water bottle holder broke when putting the water bottle in, it was a bad omen.

This bike is a disgrace to all kinds of bikes. I would rather bring a Carbon Fiber Road Bike to my local trail, and it would probably beat the living daylights out of this poor excuse for a mtn bike, heck, I would rather bring a big wheel on a trail sooner than a Pacific. Pacific is evil, evil I tell you! I would rather ride a recumbant than to ride another Pacific.

Pleasing to the eyes of impresionable garbage men!!

Weakness:

Doesn't fit garbage cans!

This bike should be burned! If one evens considers this riding the crap the should be duck taped to the bike and thrown into a river. This is a pitiful excuse for any cyclist. If U are buying it for a relative, don't or u will never see them again as they will certainly kill themselves on the first ride. Good bike for an enemy. Send one to Osama Bin Laden!

My Aunt bought this bike on sale because she was afraid to consult with me about buying a new bike. I own a few Specialized FSR's and an Uzzi Sl, so she know that I don't even look at no name brands. I rather recommend a low end name brand bike than the highest end no name brand. Talking about a tongue twister. Anyway, months later she told me about the new bike and she was having problems with it. I went over to check it out and sure enough I was appalled. Not the fact that it was a Pacific, but rather the way the mechanic put the thing together. I am talking about backward wheels (treads), vertical barends, backward/ wrong side gripshifts, brake levers too high, low pressure tires, too long cable housings, and poor shifting. I wanted to go back to the store and kick the mechanic's a**. They ripped her off big time, giving her a discount on cheap bike tools and a Camelbak wanna be hydration system made things worst. The tools they sold her broke and stripped when I used them for a complete over- haul. And the water system leaked like crazy. I wasted a whole day rebuilding the bike. The next day I took it out for a spin and d*mn, it was the worst POS I had ever ridden. The rear shock didn't do anything. The front shock rebounded so quickly after rolling off the curb, I thought it broke on me. After a couple of times around the block, the derailleurs started doing funny things. I just gave up at the end. She will have to live with that POS, not I.
This bike can have some potentials if tuned on the regular basis (after every ride). Recommended if it was put together the right way and you only use it for street riding. Not recommended if you are looking for a long lasting decent performance, quality full suspension.

Great frame! Even after all the torture and pain It still holds together pretty nicely!

Weakness:

GEARS SUCK!ALL THESE DAMN GEARS DO IS SKIP!
The gear switcher-ma'roo doesn't even properly read the gear!

I would only recommend this bike to someone who;
1. doesn't want to have a fun time
2. someone who likes crappy bikes
3. someone like my best friend jason would recently wrote a review for the hardrock who has absolutey no common sense whatsoever!

everything is good about this bike, and bad also this is a bike for begginers and is also a very fun looking and speffy also. I really like my bike. It gets me places without using my cardboard box magic capet(getting towed by a car). Ovarral i enjoy it the part about the box is somewhat true

I sure look cool on this bike, I get lots of stares from the local riders. the bright blue matches my blue helmet.
i like to lay the helmet back to help sun my forehead. as my mullet dangles from the back. I feel superior to the other "so called riders at the mall". The reflectors really work well, which is good cuz it always seems cars are trying to run me over. People are always impressed to find out that i paid over $300.00 for a bike. they know I am serious about my cycling.

Weakness:

People for some reason want to try and "toss" it. I am not sure why

if you want to impress the ladies when you bring em back to your parents basement. this bike is a must.

Strength:

It is a really good bike for tough trails with lots of bumps. It also has good brakes.

Weakness:

This bike's shocks can eventually start to wear out.

This bike is a great deal for the money and if you life by a rough trail the shocks come in really handy.

Well...the price, looks, fun to ride and that's about it.

Weakness:

FORKS BOTTOM OUT, too many stickers, and a mean sound out of the crank or rear hub or both.

Well, if I turn out to love mountain biking I will move up or drastically tweak this bike...if I hate it I will have found out without sinking too much in to it.

It really is fun to have the thing to ride on the weekends...I mean I'm not a crazy off-roader (in the Land Rover that's another thing) so it will work fine for me.

REAR SHOCK TWEAK: I Opened up the cylinder and added a small amount of synthetic 10/40 which reduced the air volume and boosted the response and gave a better seal of the piston. I also added a large nylon bushing at each end of the coil spring to smooth things out. This was a 100% improvement over the stock setup.
