Santa Cruz Blur TR All Mountain Full Suspension

DESCRIPTION

It doesn't have a new-fangled wheel size, or a bevy of acronyms, so we'd forgive you if you thought the Santa Cruz Blur TR Carbon R complete bike was outdated. But if you're thinking that, you'd be dead wrong. Starting with SC's insanely fun Blur TR platform, and rounding it out with Fox...

Strength:

First off... caveat, this is my first ever true XC bike. Being 6'3" and 205 lbs, I always thought to myself that a purpose built XC bike would be too "flimsy" for a rider my size. WRONG. Got this bike yesterday and took it out on a fairly rowdy trail this AM (Apex trail in Golden, CO) and I was AMAZED at how much I loved it. It accelerates with such ease and efficiency, and I was so surprised how nimble and capable it was on the DH. I couldn't be happier. I've been a lifelong Yeti rider, and I do love the Yeti brand, but I'm selling my SB130LR now! Nothing against it, LOVE that bike too... but this thing is a lot easier to climb on and capable enough for me on the DH (I'm not hotdogger, just a strong intermediate I'd say)... and it's 5.5 lbs lighter, which really makes a difference! I couldn't stop smiling the whole damn ride.

Weakness:

I'll let you know when I find a weakness. None so far.
