Strength:

All in all, a good entry level 29'er hardtail with mostly acceptable components. The frame, handlebar, saddle and Syncrhos X20 rims are good. The Shimano Altus rear derailleur and Shimano brakes are acceptable. It is a good bike for climbing as the geometry is upright (I am 6'2'' and have an L frame). Not so great for descents, but I control it pretty well. For $600, you have have some fun.

Weakness:

I switched out the pedals for my egg beaters. The Suntour XCT fork is not too good and the Kenda Slant XI tires are borderline.
