Strength:

Strong, light and comfortable frame. Solid SLX/Deore group. Decent wheelset.

Weakness:

None yet. Aside from a faint squeak from what I think is the BB, I'm almost 600 miles into this thing with only a hub tightening required. Solid parts spec from Kona.

I've owned multiple titanium custom hardtails. Steel hardtails. Aluminum, blah blah blah. This is the most comfortable, most stiff, and best overall ride quality of any of them. I'm an XC geek who's splurged into DH, FR, Road, fixie, etc. My first love is XC. The Kahuna is a mind-blowingly great ride for almost anything around SoCal. It feels like a go fast race bike and hangs on just right in the steep downhill chunk. I'm a "seat up" descender for most stuff...and although it's spec'd with the ability to run a stealth dropper, that's not really my game.
