Bulls Copperhead Trail RS 29er Hardtail

DESCRIPTION

The Bulls Copperhead Trail RS 29 is the newest member to the Copperhead family. The Trail RS 29 takes over as the highest model the Copperhead series, comes in and leaves nothing to be desired. This best seller has been refined with small modifications to the frame"s geometry to maximize traction and perform more agile than ever. Frame is constructed with 7005 Double Butted Aluminum and offers internal cable routing, a tapered head tube, and a press fit bottom bracket shell. We paired the frame to a Fox Float 34 fork with a remote lock-out to adapt to varying trail conditions. Through axles on the front and rear are standard with this beauty making it more rigid, safer, and stiffer. An all new Sram GX Eagle groupset gives an even better riding experience. Apart from being an 12 speed, this bike"s aggressive geometry is for those riders who always want a little more when it comes to performance. Our rider-tuned Bulls Copperhead Trail RS 29 puts you in control like never before.

Strength:

This has been my default bike for semi-technical trails and undulating gravel for the past 1.5 years. I ride it 5-8 hours a week all year except for snow/ice in the winter. I like the geometry that combines traction and smothness for long climbs and the endurance rides that I most use it for with enough agility for hitting single track trails (remote seatpost drop is nice, too). Reasonably light for an alumninum frame. It peforms best on long rides that are easy to moderately techical. For a hardtail with these componenents it is also really good value for money.

Weakness:

Bulls distributes only by mail order int he USA, so servicing is more cumbersome. The back derailleur got bent in the box and I had to get it fixed locally and get it reimbursed from Bulls and their reponse wasn't lighning fast. A few potential quality issues - bottom bracket toast after a year, derailleur issues, though that can happen to any bike. Overall very happy with this bike, though.
