Strength:

Beautiful bike, great ride characteristics, does everything well…when it works.

Weakness:

The rear triangle had a catastrophic failure on a g-out descent. Literally broke and bent. I’ve been riding that trail for years on a Santa Cruz Superlight with zero incidents. I paid to ship the frame back and was repaired under warranty. 4 months later the rear triangle bent during normal riding causing misaligned rear wheel. Lynskey repaired again under warranty while subtly blaming me for the damage. Again I paid for shipping to them. Sold the frame after that. I am 5-10, 180 lbs. and just a weekend warrior. Very disappointed in titanium as I thought this bike was going to last me a long time.

Strength:

Stiff frame that is supple over high frequency stuff, eats up the mid size stuff as you'd expect of a 140mm 27.5 frame has no noticeable pedal feedback but doesn't wallow when you push it hard. Very well designed suspension. Great stand over, nice finish and geometry. Same weight as my 120 mm aluminum Turner flux with 140mm travel.

Weakness:

148 X 12, 1 deg pitch rear axle could only be found from Lynskey and it didn't come with the frame, 42/52 integrated headset was backordered and took 3 weeks to get, Lynskey wouldn't sell it to me after my frame was shipped. At 28.5 lb with no carbon and running tubes and 2.6 tires not as light as I was hoping but not flexy at all. Haven't noticed a big improvement in boost wheel rigidity but I'm not a basher, boost setup cost as much as the frame buying high end components.

I've wanted to return to a horst link with the 27.5 wheel upgrade from an American builder for some time and I am really enjoying this one, the first titanium component I've ever purchased and it's a full suspension frame =). Lynskey was selling these at half price and as of this weekend they're still pretty inexpensive, I recommend it highly; just buy the axle and headset while your buying the frame..
