Park Tool PPL-1 Polylube 1000 4.4oz Tools

DESCRIPTION

Park Tool PPL-1 Polylube is a poly-urea based lubricant developed specifically for bicycle maintenance and repair. Polylube 1000 has an extremely high shear strength to protect vital parts under extreme conditions. Polylube 1000 also repels moisture and is compatible with conventional greases. This grease is safe for elastomer forks and hydraulic shock seals. Polyurea greases are considered excellent bearing greases. The National Lubricating Grease Institute states in their guide, "Polyurea greases are widely recognized as on the best ball bearing greases available."

Strength:

The best preformance of all I have tried. Will not run or seep.

Weakness:

Messy -- what grease is not?

I have tried many lubricants on my mountain bike hubs and I have found Polylube® 1000 Lubricant the very best of them all. I live in Arizona and the summer heat is extreme and when you travel to the mountains in northern Arizona it’s cold. This lubricant does not separate or become watery as some of the others did. Also it does not migrate away from the bearings under load or pressure.

One ride I do is down hill from an elevation of 9,500 feet to the desert floor at speeds of 45 MPH + and is 28 miles straight down with no stopping. You can smell the brakes on this one and the rims get hot. I can recommend this product, as it is an excellent performer. It stood up in field conditions. Nothing has more validity then a field report. You will be pleased with this product.

Weakness:

BROKE DOWN AND PITTED MY HUBS! This was only after half a season and the hubs were kept clean of dirt.

Don't buy it if you don't want your hubs destroyed!
