Strength:

Does everything I need out of a HRT monitor with GPS band, has an built in thermometer even without the GPS enabled it still reads. With GPS enabled you get a wide array of variables on the Pro-Trainer software much more than I can explain here. Distance traveled, how long it will take at your current speed, Heart rate, calories burned, your Zones, it stores Vo2 figures, your characteristics height, weight...etc.

Weakness:

Has to be sent back to Polar to replace battery or else you will destroy the cover making it harder to replace the battery and it costs you more for that than the battery. Software only works on Windows XP S2, it wont work on Win 7 64bit and some people get it to work on Win 7 32 bit but its sketchy.

I have used mine for mostly weight training, it has a large enough memory to store over a weeks worth of detailed information unless you go for long runs/rides then it eats up the memory storing your data. But what would one expect from compact mini heart rate computer. My GF complained about its band and says it doesn't work well with sports bras because of the length of the bra- her solution was buy the bra with the band stitched into it and clip transmitter on and go, Polar was producing them at the time.

This monitor was never designed to be used under or in water since it relies on electrical signals to transmit.

I originally purchased a RS800CX but Amazon sent me this instead and for the same price as the lesser expensive one. :D

Strength:

Multisport. Easy going. A lot of information analysis.

Weakness:

In swimming the HRM band doesn´t work. It has to be reseted each fase of a tri race. The G3 GPS WIND sensor doesn´t measure speed either distance when swimming.

Nevertheless i recommend it its ligh weight, easy handled good price and has a small error rate...
