Strength:

-lighter than any hard case to save baggage fees (sorta)
-rock solid construction
-protective sleeves do a great job and fit any bike quite well
-room to hold all your kit plus the kitchen sink (I filled it with 130 lbs of gear for one flight)
-easily fits my medium frame 26er, would easily hold a bigger bike
-rolls like a champ (did a 4 mile walk from airport to hotel without a problem)
-easy to clean
-bombproof zipper/clips/handles/wheels

Weakness:

-getting the bike in the bag takes some finesse and brute force
-price

This review is of the newer version of the Dakine bike bag.

I've used this bag for 2 international flights and one domestic to schlep my Yeti SB66 around. I have beat this bag up pretty good and it only shows a bit of wear. There is a small scuff on the bottom rubberized canvas, and the white fork sleeve has a 1/4 inch stress tear (my fault).

Dakine needs to do 2 things to make this a 5 star product. 1-Get the price under $250. 2-make the zippered access flap as big as possible to make getting the bike in/out less of a fight. Overall I recommend this for anyone who wants to travel with a bike.
