Strength:
None that I am aware of. I was an online customer. Weakness:
Pretty weak customer service. My old bike trainer literally fell apart so I shopped around for a new one during the holidays. There were plenty of deals but the one I choose was from Extreme Ski & Bike. Bought it online and paid immediately. Got a "thanks for your order" email. Then, nothing. Not even a charge on my credit card. I emailed to ask about how long it would take. Then, nothing. So I called and talked to Karrie. She said they'd experienced a lot of fraud with their online sales but since I am a real person she said she would send the trainer right away. Then, nothing. I emailed again to see what was going on. Then, nothing. I called again and was told I would have to speak with Karrie who would call me the next day. Then, nothing. Called again and talked to Karrie who said she would ship the trainer. Then, nothing. So I called the next day and Karrie said because of credit card fraud her husband won't sell anything online anymore. Uh, you already sold me something online and won't honor it. If you post something on your website and someone buys it, then you sold it. If you are not goint to follow through, don't post stuff on your website and charge shipping and then refuse to ship it. I waited 16 days for nothing and now all the holiday deals are gone. Thanks for nothing! You could have handled this so much better! |

They have a good selection of parts and if they don't have it they will order it and get it to you fast. Customer Service All I can say is wow on their customer service. If you are after great customer service look no further and come to this store. |

BDC is a cozy, small town shop with a nice selection of bikes, components, clothing and accessories for the whole family. They have stuff for the road and the dirt. Maintenance classes are available and they have a deal where you can rent the use of a stand and tools to do overhauls yourself. This is great for folks who want to do the work themselves but can't (or don't want to) afford the special tools. Customer Service The staff are both friendly and knowledgable. They take the time to help you figure out what you need then make sure that everything is properly fitted before you leave. I have rarely needed to take stuff back, but they have always been great about returns and exchanges. Similar Products Used: This shop is the center of all cycling activity in town. Everybody hangs out there. Every group road ride I have been on in the last couple of years has started at BDC. Trail rides and trail maintenance days have folks meeting at the shop and carpooling to the trail head. |

I've not actually been inside the shop. Customer Service I found their ad in the WORS handbook when I was looking for a part. None of my LBS's had what I was seeking and I was desparate enough I started calling around the state. They not only had the part, but they gave it to one of their customers, a racer in my class, to deliver it at the next race. Similar Products Used: They really know how to satisfy a customer. At races they bring demo bikes and not only let folks ride them, they let people race on the demo bikes. Their knowledge and dedication is impressive. I wish they weren't half a state away. |

Nice shop, knowledgeable staff, all kinds of products and bikes for the size of the shop. Good install program... sometimes it seems like it takes a little longer than it should... but hey, they're busy! Plus they do good work... it is worth the wait! Customer Service Great customer service!! They take their time with each customer and don't rush through it to get to who ever is next in line... They'll walk you around the shop, talk to you about your options/concerns... whatever... I'm really impressed by the group of guys that are working there... Similar Products Used: Carrie is the shop manager (maybe owner?) and is great! No offense to the other guys she has working there, but nobody takes care of the customer like she does... She'll do anything she can to get your questions answered/bike fixed/etc. so that you can hit the trails again quickly. I highly recommend this bike shop!! |
