Small locally owned shop that has been around for as long as I can remember. Customer Service Great customer service! After visiting a couple other shops in the area and not finding exactly what I needed, I visited Patio and after explaining what I was looking for they got me exactly what I needed. The sales guy Vince was a huge help. Similar Products Used: Great people working there, they were honest and knowledgeable not just on bikes but also on the local laws. They informed me that riding at night without a light was now a fine-able offense in Wisconsin, which I did not know before hand and was never mentioned at other shops I checked out. |

Wow! Blows Wheel and Sprocket (Hales Corners) out of the water. John (the owner and chief mechanic) is quiet and very good. He can often get my bike done while I wait. He is fast, fair and polite. The other store, always makes me wait and wait and wait for repairs. Sorry, life is to short. When I come into buy something, they always give me straight answers. Nice, honest and careful folks. The front of the store makes it look like a small shop. Not! They have a second building with tons more bikes. I kept busting my rear rim on my Trek and John came up with an indestructible Spartucus rim. No more broken spokes. Sweet. They are closed during the Winter, but that is fine by me. I rarely ride in 2 feet of snow ;-) Customer Service See above. Very good service on every level, from sales to service. Similar Products Used: I found them by accident after another shop was going to take 2 weeks to get to my bike. I have never looked anywhere else. |

While endurance training on a 1983 Raleigh road bike, I put too much torque on the smaller chain wheel while climbing a hill and the bolts holding it on were ripped off. The bolts were specific to the old Raleigh and I could not find their replacements anywhere- ebay, on-line, or any bike shop in the Milaukee area- I went to 5 different shops. Finally I went to Patio Bike Shop and not only did they have the correct bolt set, but they called in an off duty machinist to craft me a new bolt set becasue I could not afford the discontinued factory set at the time. Their machinist actually came into the shop on his day off, took a standard bolt and altered it to fit the Raleigh chain wheel and it looked exactly the same as the factory set. The next day I competed with the Raleigh in the Devil's Lake Triathlon in Baraboo Wisconsin which consists of several long and steep climbes and the chain-wheel and bike worked better than ever- they also gave it a thourogh tune up and lubrication inside the crank and chain. I am very impressed with the level of service, price, knowledge, and craftmanship I recieved from this shop and now I wouldn't go anywhere else. |
