After a poor experience with another shop in town, I have become a loyal Agee's customer. In the last 6 months, I have purchased a rack system for my car, a Trek Fuel, and various other related accessories. I have been consistently impressed by the knowledge and customer service exhibited by everyone I've had the pleasure of working with there.

Customer Service

Impressive customer service, even dealing with a problem which I had with a product from another shop without comment.

Dropped off my bike to get some work done. Got an estimate. Went to pick it up and the bill was doubled! Then needed a stem swap, same bike. It was there for week, not done. And the old lady at the desk can kizs my ass. Picked it up and went to Goodly bikes across from Insbrook. Took Duke 45 minutes! And cheep! Whatever work you need done go see Duke at Goodly.

Midlothian Va. Decent selection, Prices vary. Some good prices some way overpriced. Not alot of low to midrange prices.

Customer Service

First to speak has laid claim evidently. 3 sets of customers walked through the door. The guy offered his help. 1 knew what they wanted, myself and the other people wanted to look for a moment. When we were ready, noone else would assist since we were guy #1 territory. So, we all waited while he ran between the three of us providing half a**ed customer service to us all. He also said he would help load it into my car, but after the $285.00 changed hands, I didn't get so much as a thank you for your business. I took the bike and loaded it myself.

Agees claims to do a tune and safety checkup and to fit the bike to the rider upon purchase..they did neither. They took the bike to the back and added a kickstand for $12.00, and rolled it to me with a "got your money, get out attitude". The bike wasn't adjusted to my son and when we came home my son rode down the road. The quick release had not been adjusted and tightened causing the back wheel to slip and lockup. The bike went down tearing the seat and luckily my son walked away with only a scrape and bruises. Some safety check. Needless to say, I'm disappointed in Agees. Its all about getting the cash and moving on to the next commission. Won't buy there again.

Pretty good selection, they price match anything in VA. knowledgeable employees. free tune-up with new bikes.

Customer Service

good customer service, they want to sell you a bike, but they are straight with you about what will be best for you. they ride the trails i ride, so they knew what i wanted and needed.

overall i like the store, you can find some better deals online, but as far as local shops go they seem to have the best selection of mountain bike gear, and it is a nice store.

Customer Service

In late 2008 I purchased a Schwinn Town and Country from Agee's Bicycle in Midlothian Virginia. It worked admirably but sadly suffered a bent wheel through our own error.

We began to try and get a new wheel around March 2009. Agee's, the distributor, told us that they could not order the part as it was unavailable. We called Schwinn national who gave us the part number. Under duress the distributor ordered it for us in July, for an August delivery.

In December, our prepaid part arrived, and was sold to someone else without notice or explanation. This distributorship has performed terribly poorly and seems to have no angst about it. They recommended a product which we bought, then almost immediately spoke disparagingly of the product and refused to service it. Buyer beware.

I purchased a Thule T2. Arrived here in to CA in 5 days. I opened the package everything seemed okay then I found that the rear tire straps were missing and the plastic package that kept the nuts and bolts was already torn open. I was pissed but there was nothing for me to do. I called the next morning to get thing straightened out. After talking to two people, they were a little defiant in giving me straps but ended up sending me a pair which I received today.
I'd just like to say, I wouldn't hassle a shop for straps if they came with the box. I far to much stress in my life to create more. I just want what I pay for.
Thanks to Agee's for making a customer happy. I believe the guy's name is Jay.
Just a 4 because it should of been right the first time but it might of been out of their hands.

I go to all the shops up and down broad street and have found Agee's to always be my favorite. Tons of product in the shop, knowledgeable about current trends, know their stuff about local trails, and somehow seem to be priced lower than the chain store up the street.

Customer Service

Always helpful! I recommend them to everyone

Tons of stuff in this store (their West Broad St. location). We've got the "P" shop here in town, and you'd think that the national company would have more, but that's not the case. I'd had trouble finding a pair of shoes that I liked for a price that fit my budget. Plenty of shops offered to special order what I wanted, but at additional expense and I wasn't willing to take chances regarding fit. Agee's had what I needed and at a great price.

Customer Service

Very good. On the visit described above, they were kind of busy (Tuesday afternoon, go figure), but I was greeted when I came in and I got a chance to browse around some before I was helped. Salesperson seemed knowledgeable. We chatted about our respective rides and favorite local spots and I ended up test riding a Specialized Epic. Maybe I'll get the chance to review that soon.
