Downtown Culpeper, VA off of Main street on W. Culpeper. Can't miss it.

You walk in, and all you see are great bikes, and a service area. I didn't see a bad bike or piece of equipment in the place, and it is fully stocked with just about everything you need.

Customer Service

AMAZING. I ride a small frame, which is hard to find. They didn't have the bike I was looking for in my size, but unlike EVERY other shop in VA, they ordered it for me without my guarantee of buying it. They encouraged me to come and try it out to make sure I like it.

After driving the nearly 3 hours to get to the store, Eric took the time to show me around the bike. He was EXTREMELY patient with all of my questions, and gave me more information than I asked for. The service area was quick with any and all adjustments.

Furthermore, everyone in the store was COMPLETELY honest. I asked for their criticisms of the bike, and they told me what problems they felt it had. It felt like I was buying a bike from a friend rather than a salesman.

I can't write this review without mentioning the price. They sold me a 2009 Cannondale Rize 4 for $1400, when it retails for $2450. That's over $1000 off the price.

On top of that, I bought some equipment, and Eric discounted all of that as well. $120 shoes? More like $98. $40 pump? Try $32.

I fully intend to buy everything I can from this store from now on. Amazing. Thanks guys!

Recently moved to culpeper. Neighborhood kids got me back into skating, so I went to the only bike/skate shop in town. and they were awesome! hooked me up with a blank deck for a reasonable price and shot the S with me for a bit. My wife, two boyz and I will be lifelong customers.

Lots of bikes. Only good deal if you are a "Friend of the shop"
Otherwise they will rip you off.
Horrible warranty service....took forever to get a frame back, and when it came back, they sold it to one of their "team" members the first time, so I had to wait on the one that was ordered for that team member.

The Bike Stop was clean, organized, well lit and had a good size staff to help the customers in the store.

Customer Service

I just recently purchased my first road bike from the Bike Stop. I could not have been more impressed with their level of customer service and the attention they gave me. I never felt like I was being rushed or pushed into any decision. Instead, I felt they honestly were trying to set me up with the best bike and gear to suit my needs. The staff was friendly and answered all the questions I threw at the them.

I have been considering a road bike for some time and without fail whenever I walked into a local bike shop I felt like an "outsider". While I wouldn't be completely ignored by staff, I could tell that helping out a lost beginner wasn't what they were looking to do. A friend of mine mentioned the Bike Stop to me and I decided to make the drive up. The folks there gave me a totally different vibe. Instead of making me feel like I had no business being in their store unless I was out riding a couple hundred miles a week, they helped me figure out how to get those first few miles in on my new bike. Although I'm sure some of my questions were as basic as they come, the staff at the Bike Stop was eager to help get me fitted for my new ride.

Its a bit of drive from my house up to the Bike Stop, but Ill be making the trip up whenever I have a bike need in the future.....even if it means driving by several local shops along the way!

The Bike Stop is located in downtown Culpeper. It was opened in 1984 by Bob Leftwich.

Customer Service

The Bike Stop has excellent customer service. When I was a new to road biking the shop owner spent extra time with me so I could understand the sport. I travel over 70 miles one way to get the customer care that I cannot get in my hometown at the chain stores. Prices are exceptional, they are always glad to see me. I contribute my success in my biking events to the staff at The Bike Stop; they even worked after hours to get my bike ready for my first century ride. They are 100%!

I've been going to the Bike Stop since 1993. It has grown considerably in the past 13 years. Bought my first mountain bike from the Bike Stop, and I continue to support this store even though I live about 90+ minutes away. The owner is a wealth of knowledge and does a lot for the local cycling community. If he's not leading rides, building trails, or wrenching at charity rides and races, he's in his store.

Customer Service

Customer service is excellent. The only downfall is that sometimes on weekends during the summer the Bike Stop is so busy that they cannot spend as much time with each customer as they should. I'm an old face, so I'm more of a friend and not a customer anymore.

They also have a wide selection of skateboarding and snowboarding equipment. The Bike Stop's prices are also some of the best around. And if they don't have it they will order it for you. Great shop! Best in Central Virginia!
