Great place. John and Rob really know there stuff. They do only carry Specialized bikes, but the service department and clothing sections are best in town.

Outstanding, best in Cville. Always greeted as soon as I enter and Rob even sometimes will make French Press coffee for me if I need to wait.

If you don't like Specialized this store still has a ton to offer. The service dept. is top notch and very professional.

Pretty high end stuff, with some more accessible rides for non-racers. They've helped me build up a new ride as well as keeping several of my beaters on the road. I recently had a fitting done and I feel great on the bike- no old man pain.

Helpful mechanics. I've learned a lot from them about fine tuning what I already knew about bike maintenance, and have become a more self-reliant cyclist as a result. This has kept me coming back to Cville for a few years now. Also, I've found it easy to simply stop in to say hello and hang out for a while.

Being the only Specialized dealer in town has allowed them to stay in business despite their horrible service.

In short, HORRIBLE.

Every time that I have gone into this shop, the sales staff has seemed uninterested in assisting me. Even when I was dropping close to 2 grand on my Enduro in 2004, the salesman seemed distracted and didn't invest much time in helping me find what I was looking for (luckily I had done my own research and chose a great bike).

I've also been disappointed by the service and repair department. The last time that I took my bike to be serviced, I got it back with the chain improperly routed (on the wrong side of the pulley cage). They never thought to spin the pedals and run it through the gears?!

If you need work on Specialized proprietary gear, save yourself the hassle and find a shop outside of Charlottesville. The gas money will be worth not having to these guys.

Easily the best shop in C'ville. Really nice staff, very friendly atmosphere - as a female I feel intimidated by alot of shops but C'ville Bike and Tri goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable staff, great prices - what more could you ask for?

This bike shop sucks, they give it to you from the back while treating you like crap. Not only did they take 3 weeks to figure out what was wrong with my bike, they b*tched about it and blamed their inexperience with disc brakes on me. $130 later my brakes worked. Will not return, EVER.
