Very nice shop with good selection of bikes, accessories and clothing. Fair pricing on the bikes as well. Sales people are knowledgeable of their product and friendly. Overall a good shop.

Service department has gone downhill.

Customer Service

My complaint with the shop is the service department. The quality of the service work has gone down hill. Service work is costly and I find that most times I get my bike back work was missed or work was done that I did not ask for because I do it myself (like changing out brake pads). I have also found I am better off doing work I am capable of as often work is poorly done and I would have done a better job myself.

The service department used to be a lot better but it seems as though the guys that really knew what they were doing have moved on to other shops. One example...I took my forks to be rebuilt and repaired. (they were not locking out) they were rebuilt but not repaired and would have to go back to the factory for repair. A total waist of time. On top of that I found out the forks were recalled and no-one said a thing. Did they not know or simply not tell me? Either way, not right. Another example...I had the wheel trued. Well it was trued but several spokes were striped out form being over tightened. Apparently they loosened none before truing the wheel. Simple stuff like that makes me nuts! I have since bought a wheel truer and do it myself.

I do not recommend this shop for service work.

Nice shop but I will never set foot in there again.

Customer Service

Awful. Took in a cracked frame for warranty and it took 3 months to get back. When I did get my bike back the rear fork was 3" travel instead of 5" (which they failed to tell me). Actually moved to another part of the city and had to drive 45 minutes to get my bike when it was done 2 weeks later with the new rear fork.

I am new to the Pittsburgh area and was referred by another shop to Dirty Harry's. Barry was our sales guy and he was GREAT! Was honest and upfront and did not try to push me into something I wasn't interested in. He was professional and the shop itself was neat, tidy and carried a large inventory of higher end bikes and such! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase their next bike!

Nice shop, clean and well organized. Nice Selection of bikes.

Customer Service

This is where Dirty Harrys sets itself apart. Whether it is sales or service you always get excellent treatment. I bought my first bike there when I was 10 (a sweet bmx redline)and have bought every new bike, for myself as well as my kids, there as well. The shop has fixed every problem I have given them. Sales was willing to go the extra mile when I asked them some questions that, no fault of their own, could not be answered right away.

The staff at Dirty Harry's are second to none. They really know bikes and there is never a "pressure" sale. The repair shop is really good. Can't say enough about John Schmidt, one of the mechanics. He did a great job on my Felt Z35 with a tune up.

Nice selection of bikes. I wish I would have found these guys earlier. Service is why I go to a bike store. They have helped me and my friend that go there. Highly recommend Dirty Harry's.

Customer Service

That is why I keep going back. I won't go anywhere that I am not treated like a valued customer.

Nice shop. They sell Specialized, Trek, Gary Fisher, and some others that I am unaware of. The staff is quite knowledgable and friendly. They had some good prices on certain things too.

Customer Service

I just bought a new GF from them. They were very helpful, attentive, and patient. The salesman was very helpful. They fitted me to a bike using very detailed measurements, and they spent alot of time with me. They also never put any pressure on me, and they seemed to be quite honest.

I had a good experience, so I recoomend them. I bought my first bike from them back in 1988, and now another in 2009.

I also got the feeling that they will provide good "after the sale" support, but I will follow up after a good amount of time has passed.

My only complaint would be that many of the bikes didn't have price tags, but just a minor complaint.

Nice shop with a lot of parts, even the hard to find parts. Staff knows bikes.

Customer Service

Everyone there is nice except for the guy with the eye, didn't catch his name, but was not very cordial to a potential mountain bike buyer. I will never go back. Went to Pittsburgh Pro Bicycles that same day and bought the same bike for $200 less.

Most of there "good" wrenches have gone on to greener pastures. Not sure who is wrenching currently. A little on the expensive side for parts and accessories.

I love this bike shop. They have a great selection of bikes, various makes and models, mountain and road machines. They also stock a huge selection of accessories and parts. If they don't have it, nobody does.

Customer Service

Jeff, Scott and Barry are great, I can't say enough good things about these guys at this shop. They are extremely patient and generous with there time. They really seem to want their customers to be happy with their purchase.

I'm fairly "new" to mountain biking, and these guys were so patient and generous with there time. I think they let me test ride every 29er mountain bike in their shop. They didn't push me to buy off of them on that initial visit, they understood that I needed to evaluate all the information they gave me. So, I went back and they let me take all the bikes out for a second test ride. And then, to top that, they let me take the "demo" home to try. Needless to say, I ended up buying a "great" 29er (Kona Kula 2-9), that I am extremely pleased with. There are alot of very good bike shops in the Pittsburgh area, but, Dirty Harry's, in my opinion, is, hands down, the "best". Like I said, I can't say enough good things about these guys.

Good selection of road, mountain bikes and parts. Nice showroom, friendly staff.

Customer Service

Staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Took the time to do a body measurement and made sure the bike fit properly when I bought my cyclocross bike. Good prices on parts too. Barry and Jeff are both great guys to deal with.
