When we first arrived in Florence my boys and I all had bmx bikes one day my Robinson bmx bike got stolen out of our garage. As we were driving by our local bike store, went in and asked about the bike. Was told "You have to go to the police station to file a report". On my return from the station with the police, I was informed that the owner had called the person who sold the bike and had given it back to them. That was about ten years ago and since that time we have purchased 4 new bikes and not one of them has come from 101 bike shop. Recently broke a spoke on my new bike and thought I would give the shop here a second shot and went there to purchase a spoke. When I got home and went to install the spoke and found out i was given the wrong spoke. I called and the owner said he would give me a couple of spokes and nipples. I rushed down there to get there before they closed. When i arrived i noticed someone else behind the counter and they said that they didnt carry those spokes and he handed me a nipples and said "Here, this will fit it". My experiences with 101 bike store have been less than satisfying. Customer Service Friendly enough upon arrival, but I find myself shaking my head out of disbelief. Similar Products Used: It would be nice to live in a town that had a real bike store so i wouldn't have to drove 120 miles round trip just to get a part. |

We have learned to love this little shop. The bicycles on display are beautiful & they keep well-stocked. They also have lots of accessories. Customer Service We first came into the shop & suffered some sticker shock so mistakenly bought cheap bikes at another store (Fred Meyer). We brought those bikes into the bike shop to see if they could fix the brakes/shifters. Instead, the owner suggested that we buy some good bikes, which we did! My husband bought a Trek & I bought a Townie 7. We love these bikes. We actually went out & bought a new vehicle so we could tow the bikes. We had a hitch put on & went back to this bike shop & ordered a bike rack, which they got for us in just a couple of days. We ended up buying a great tire pump, too. The advice from Sean & the owner (I forget his name but he's great!) was top notch & they are so helpful. We won't make the mistake of going cheap again. |

Customer Service Don't get me started..... Similar Products Used: Do your research on this company before you ever set foot in it, chances are you will drive right on bye and go to moes in north bend. I am new to the sport, and even though I have never bought anything at moes he took time to show me what to look for in a bike (proper sizing etc...) He didn't have any used bikes at the time but he steered me to someone who did. |

I don't visit this bike shop anymore. The good reviews you have on this sight were written by the owner. The real story is that they are rip offs. Be careful if you have work done there because the price changes drastically after your bike go's on the rack. The prices are double for tourists and the locals simply don't go there at all. This shop is being black balled by the whole town and tourists that are traveling down the Oregon coast. The amazing thing is this shop owner stabs Trek/Specialized dealers in the back by selling their products on E-Bay. I didn't think that was legal. Customer Service Service is pushed down your throat. Why should I have to tell this guy where I am from,if I am single and where my boyfriend is.Its none of his business what I do or where I am from. Why should I have to eat crap and be held ransom for my bike repair?
Similar Products Used: After talking to many locals I found they are willing to drive 60 miles to get repairs or parts instead of being scammed at this bike shop ! |
