They seem to have it all and they are bike dedicated. Nice to not have to wade through a bunch of other sport stuff and to know that my bike was their specialty.
Customer Service The owner is also the lead mechanic so that really inspired confidence. Very honest about my bike's condition and the options I had to either fix 'er up or make her almost new. I appreciated the options and the honesty. Been coming here the last few years. Wish I'd found them sooner. Similar Products Used: Excellent bike shop! This is what a shop should be! Friendly staff, locals hanging out and excellent service! No pushy snobbery and more knowledge than any shop I have ever been to. Thank you for being so laid back and so easy to talk components with. |

I was passing through Bend and was looking to a 20 mile+ ride to check out the area. I bumped into Bend Cyclery early on Saturday morning and was greeted by shop owner Eric Smith. I basically needed a suggestion for a great all mountain trail and inquired with him. First, he totally hooked me up with the perfect trail- ~5 miles of climbing and 13+ miles of sweet downhill singletrack on a trail that was created for mountainbike junkies- banked turns, lots of whoops, twisty and tight singletrack all with breathtaking views. Second, the ride required a shuttle which the shop doesn't really do but for a few bucks he offered to drive me 10 miles to the trailhead. Awesome. Next after getting dialed in with a map I had a question on my disc brakes which he tuned for free on the spot with my drivetrain. I could continue on how great this shop was to a one day out of towner but I won't as it will sound too much like an insider wrote the review. Bottom line, awesome shop. Unbelieveable customer service. Eric's been running bike shops for over 25 years and it shows. I can't wait to go back and ride Bend again and will definitely stop by Bend Cyclery. Customer Service Outstanding. |

Definitely a niche market type shop, but he knows what he sells. Why should he sell road bikes? Too many shops selling a full line-up without full expertise. Gotta hand it someone who keeps it real. Customer Service Great customer service. The only downfall is maybe that the owner has high standards; he's picky. You can't pass off b.s. on him but at the same time he doesn't screw you out of service because you're doing "crazy things" on your bike. Can't say that about other leg-shaving, mountain bike selling shops. Similar Products Used: Grass roots. True small business. He's held true to being what all businesses once were. Check it out, hang a while, and enjoy the ride. |

This is the local's local shop. Can't go wrong here and the owner is a hard core rider. No lies or rip offs and lots of awesome stuff for your bike. Customer Service It's nice to finally find somebody who knows a bike inside and out and can fix even the mystery squeek! |

This shop has made it's name on one brand, Kona. But it's a good brand to stick with. This shop is a magnet for all the groms who want a Stinky or other huck bike. Customer Service The owner is super cool. Even though they offer "free tune-ups for life", we've heard of their customers taking their bikes to other shops to get work done. |
