I was looking for a Niner Frame. After several emails exchanged with Scott I ended up buying a Jet9 carbon frame and a Fox fork. He was always very fast and clear in answering to my queries. At the end the offer passed my expectation. Everything was perfect, shipping included.

Niner dealer.

Customer Service

Late last year I sent out bids (via email) for a top-o-line Niner Jet 9 RDO. Hammerhead was the fastest responding and also the best bid. They delivered the bike in a timely manner as specified for a competitive price.

I was so happy with Hammerhead that I ordered a Niner Air 9 Carbon Singlespeed. That went so smooth that I will order another Niner this summer from Hammerhead.

I haven't been to the shop - only e-mail contact

Customer Service

Scott and the guys at the shop are so helpful. I contacted them with a technical question on the off chance they could help me. I got some really great technical advice and they were keen to follow up and see what worked and how my build was going.

They went out of their way to help me and I haven't even purchased anything from them yet! Will def use the online shop in the future.

I have only dealt with the shop online, and they have been excellent to deal with. All of my questions and issues were promptly addressed. Sometimes I even received correspondence after hours or on weekends. I did not expect to hear from them, but even when they were not on "office hours" they responded.

Their knowledge of 29er bikes is excellent. They recommended a different shock than I would have chosen and it turned out to be right on the money.

Customer Service

Best of any bike shop I have dealt with. No complaints.

This is a great shop that has many parts on hand from making quick repairs to upgrading or changing your cockpit just before a ride, they have many of the things I need on hand. I have built a RIP 9, carbon Tallboy with them from scratch and am currently in the process of building an Air 9 carbon. They are very helpful at working to come up with the best mix of parts for the value and making sure I stay in budget.

Customer Service

They are really good to work with as many times I stop bye before or after a ride and need a part changed, new tire or an adjustment. Typically, they can handle it while I hang out and visit. They not only build bikes but ride everything they sell so that helps them understand what problems I may be having and how best to handle it.

I have never been to the physical shop, but have bought some gear from Scott and Hammerheadbikes in the last month. The deal that Scott got me on a Salsa Mukluk 3 was insane, and much less than what the other e-bike shops were going to give me. I had lots of questions and wanted to swap out some parts, and Scott was always super prompt about responding even around Christmas. The upgraded parts were installed at the shop, and everything when I received it at my house was perfect except the headset was missing a piece. Most likely a problem with Salsa, but Scott bent over backwards to make it right, and I truly appreciate that.

Customer Service

Again, my interaction was only done over email, but incredible response and they definitely know bikes. Definitely give Scott and Hammerheadbikes a call when you are in need of some high quality bike gear. I know I will.

One of the best and competent 29-er shop's I found in the net.

Customer Service

Even from Austria (Europe), where I am living, you get a perfect service while buying or getting help with information or replacement parts across the ocean. Never got such a competent and friendly service before. I only can recommend to have contact and enjoy the perfect service - all around mountainbiking and "all over the world"

I needed a new high end mtb and I talked to Cody at HH about my needs. He gave me an in depth review of various mtb manufacturers, their bike geometries and how they would fit my riding style. He spent a great deal of time walking me through the process of getting the bike I need with the proper components to meet my race oriented requirements. The result was an incredible match to my needs, the Ellsworth Truth with Sram and Fox components is an awesome bike.

Customer Service

During the order process, Cody kept me informed of the progress of the custom build of my Ellsworth, with timely emails and phone calls. The service was outstanding.

Cody's extensive knowledge of custom bike builds was very evident in our many conversations. His ability to "read" your needs and match you to your bike, gave me my perfect ride.

The new Hammerhead shop on Burnet Lane is awesome! Where else in Austin do you get to talk to the mechanic AND watch him work on your bike? And while your waiting you get offered something to drink, or ride the pump track with a demo bike. They built a pump track. Everywhere else in Austin you get to ride a demo bike in the parking lot. At HH, you get a dirt pump track (or a nice quiet side street if you are riding a road bike) and then you get offered to demo the bike you just rode at no extra charge, for the weekend. The HH guys have won my business.

Customer Service

First rate. Get something to drink, hang out on the couch, or come back. I have never been told by a bike shop in Austin (or anywhere) that the repairs on my bike will just take a few minutes, or better yet, when I destroyed my rear hub: "Here's a demo wheel, try it out." A DEMO WHEEL? Really? I didn't know customer service at a bike shop existed before I went to HH.

Not being particularly well versed on the ins and outs of bikes and parts, I wanted to take the next step and purchase a high end mountain bike. A friend of mine purchased his Titus there about 4 years ago, and that is what I wanted! It can be very intimidating going into a bike shop and talking with folks who have been riding for years, actually they can be downright pretentious. Absolutely not the case with the guys at the shop. From the time I walked in, I felt very comfortable to ask questions and talk specifically about what I was looking for. Cody and Josh were extremely patient and helpful in every way. This experience is what buying a bike should feel like!

Customer Service

The customer service at Hammerhead is above reproach. Even with Cody just having a new baby that week, he met me at the shop on a Saturday (they are only open M-F) to deliver my new Titus. Talk about taking care of the customer!

Hammerhead bikes is the place to go for the “bike experience”. If the shop was closer to San Antonio, I would definitely go there on a regular basis even if it was to jsut hang out with the guys. The shop is fun and they make the atmosphere very comfortable!!
