District Bicycles is a wonderful addition to downtown Stillwater. I love their minimalist store environment. It's not packed to gills with every bike product known to man. But they do seem to have a good selection of good stuff you might need. Prices seem very reasonable.

You're guaranteed to get a greasy hand shake on your way out.

When I was looking to purchase my first bike I went to a local bike shop (our only one before District) and I really wanted to get some good info and recommendations. Which I did.

But when I went to District I not only got a great recommendation. But they also told me to take the bike for a test ride! This was something the other LBS never hinted that I could do. This along with the wonderful attitude of the owner, his family, and employees won me over.

After riding my new 29er for 2 weeks, I needed some adjustments made. I rode in 35 minutes before they close. They were really busy. But Bobby (Owner) remembered me and said hi while working on a bike. His employee got with me when he freed up and immediately got my bike on the stand and adjusted. Quick and easy.

They didn't act like I was waisting their time. This is true customer service.

I don't know if the owner, Bobby, has a nickname for it but they have this cool bar that you can sit at while you watch your bike being worked on. It's all out in the open. I could sit there and just watch them work and learn.

Another big reason District is going to be so successful is their focus on community. They do well with their social networks and organize rides. I haven't been on a ride with them yet but it is nice to know that when I'm ready I can join them.

This is the new bike shop in town. They primarily sell Trek and Surly but from time to time you can find other brands that customers have traded in for a new bike. The owner is friendly and tries to ensure every customer an enjoyable shopping experience. I give this shop a 4 out of 5 in all areas because they are better than most but still have room for improvement.
