I was helped by Kyle and I was very pleased with the service. He was patient and very respectful of a 58 year old heavy woman. He got a woman(didn't get her name) to help me pick out a helmet, and also got help to pick out the right car carrier for me. I will pick up my bike Friday night, and continue my review then. |

Buyer Beware! In 3 years I had spent over 5K in this shop. They screwed me over on a warranty for a set of $150 pedals. And the best part is they told me they called the manufacturer and gave me a name of who they spoke to. I called myself and that person does not exist! Caught in another LIE in the story as well.
Customer Service Pro Shop is horrible. They act like there doing you a favor talking to you. Similar Products Used: Bad News |

I shopped with these guys online. They have a horrible return policy. They told me they would return an item, and then told me they wouldn't once I paid the $17 to ship it! Shop at Performance Bicycle if one is by you... Great customer service and returns! Customer Service Bad Similar Products Used: Bad |

This bike shop is way overpriced. I just came here to get a spoke changed and six minutes later was hit with a $28.00. The labor charge was $25.00 which is ridiculous. I spoke with the service manager who tried informing me that truing a wheel is very complicated and expensive. I informed him that I would have done it myself if I had the time and wasn't told that the spoke costs $1.25 when I asked uodront how much it would cost. If they had been upfront and told me it was $25.00 for labor I would have waited till I got home and done it myself. Unreal. Straight up ripoff artists and I will not be back. Steer clear of this place. Customer Service The woman at the register in the front was very nice but the overpriced labor is ridiculous. |

Brands is like a supermarket. It’s got everything you can possibly want at average to reasonable prices. Customer Service Their service is not great though. They have lots of staff with not many willing to help. Went in looking to upgrade my fork and wheels but unfortunately they weren’t really knowledgeable about these components. I’ve had better help at some of the smaller bike shops. Similar Products Used: I think that this shop is for those who are getting into cycling or just need a bike. But if you are really into cycling and want help from someone who knows what they are talking about go elsewhere. |

I had been to a few well known LI LBS during my bike shopping. I knew Brands has been around and my brother in law told me to go there. Very good selection. They had all of the bikes I was interested in except one (a Trek that NOBODY had). Salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. Rode a few bikes. Price on the bike I purchased was MUCH lower that the other LBS I went to. Customer Service Got a little peeved initially when they called me to tell me my new bike was ready to be picked up. I excitedly went there to pick up my new bike. My salesman apologetically told be they built the wrong bike for me due to an inventory labeling issue. Similar Products Used: This place seems to have very good service, a great selection and VERY competitive pricing on Long Island. I have yet to bring my bike back to its free servicing, so I cannot comment on that. |

brands has good prices. i.ve brought five bikes from them but after buying a stumpjumper and a heckler it seems that if u had a problem with a mountain bike they didnt know what to tell u. the staff which consisted of people that rode road bikes or were young kids it seems that kind of money i expected more |

Brands is awesome. If you are looking for a bike, it is likely that they will have something that fits your description and size. They have many bikes on hand in the showroom as well as bikes in stock. Most of the time you can get the price knocked down a bit and when you buy a bike, they give you 10% off accessories. Customer Service Customer service is great. Lots of knowledgeable people who also ride bikes. The service department is quick and they know a thing or two about bikes. |

sells all types of bikes, parts, etc
Customer Service the service dept is very good though. i had tires swapped and they did it less than 10 mins. i would recommend this store for people who already know a thing or two about bikes....newbies would get nervous. i would recommend mineola bike (see review) for beginners. |

Bigger shop. Larger than average selection. Close to my house. Customer Service Not so great. They have trouble at the cash register. Seems like bike club discount doesn't work there. I think the owner wants to make everybody happy. The problem is that the staff is not so special. When you pay a premium for bikes you expect more. Easy to find a lower price elsewhere. Similar Products Used: Go if you want to pay full price for something you can't find elsewhere quickly. Expect to wait on line at cash register and get some story how the 30% markdown is 20% (even though it said 30%). Place is crowded but not an efficient use of space. Parking lot is tricky. |
