This is my favorite shop for a variety of reasons - the sales staff is very helpful, it's got a really cool atmosphere, and they are very commited to getting you the right bike or parts for your needs. Customer Service The customer service is always good. They take the time to answer your questions, and if they don't have something in stock they are quick to order it. I bought a Fisher Raceday there, back when the bike was just coming out and very tough to get. Kyle - the manager, checked the Trek site daily for availabilty and when one showed up he phoned me immediated and asked if I wanted to order it. I had my bike within a week. All bike sales come with a fitting session on a trainer to get the bike properly fit to the rider - this includes swapping stems and other parts if needed.
Similar Products Used: I prefer to shop in the city of Rochester, over the suburbs, so this shop is a natural fit for me. There's a shop two blocks from my house, but I ride the 2 miles to go here. Parking is usually not a problem - theres spots in a parking lot, and if you know how to parallel park, there is always on street parking. The shop hosts a lot of group rides, seminars, and perhaps most significantly the Saturn Twilight Criterium - a UCI event. I would say they've done more to put Rochester on the Map for cycling in the few years that they've been open, than all of the other local shops combined. Definitely check it out. It's a great place to end a ride with coffee and cookies, or just hang out and read a magazine. |

This is the best shop that I've been to in the northeast, and I've been to quite a few. I travel for work and I usually bring my bike with me. I stop in at Full Moon Vista a few times a year and I'm always amazed at how this shop evolves every time I visit.
Customer Service Customer service is the best I've seen anywhere. The store owner really listened to what I had to say. He spent a lot of time helping me find the bike that was right for me, and once we settled on the bike he spent two more hours fitting it to me perfectly. This wasn't the usual "ride it around the parking lot and adjust the seatpost" fitting. This guy really knows what he's doing and I learned a lot about how I ride in the process of the fitting. Similar Products Used: Another thing that makes full moon vista stand out is the energy they put into promoting cycling in their community. Most bike shops I've seen are about selling you a bike and then they're on to the next customer. Full Moon Vista goes a step further and actively promotes cycling in their community.

Nice shop located in a beautifull building, very warm feeling as you walk in. Customer Service Not to good, I imagine if I was spending more that $1500 on a bike I would have had better attention from the guy behind the counter with glasses. A road rider (must have been a friend of the store) walked in 5min after me and was asked if he needed help or had any questions before I was even approached by anyone. Similar Products Used: I traveled to this shop on the recommendation of a person out on a group ride, I will n ot make the trip again. |

Good range of bikes, road to mtb, kids to big kids, $ - $$$. OK, most shops have that covered well enough, but one of the intriguing touches that few shops have is the right atmosphere. FMV is in a renovated older building with an abundance of brick and wood and tall ceilings. Most of the product displays are hand-crafted and really compliment the space. You really need to check it out, if for no other reason than to see the place. While you're there, borrow a spot on their couch, grab a coffee, and kick back and read a bit too. Customer Service I had gotten away from bikes and decided I need to fix that. I'm 6'3" and the 29ers really had my interest peaked. The guys at FMV really know 29ers - a couple of them ride 29ers - and they took the time to fix me up right with a GF 293. They went above and beyond the call of duty in getting me this bike, since GF was waffling a bit about making them late in '05, but they persisted and got this bike built for me in time for Spring. I've been to other bike shops that wouldn't have given me a second look, but FMV took the time to get me back in the saddle and in turn they've got a customer for life. Similar Products Used: This bike shop is run by a bunch of folks who love cycling and who probably dreamed and planned for years on what a bike shop should not only look like but - more importantly - what it should feel like. Check it out sometime. |
