I would like to preface this review by stating that I would never buy a bike there and I would suggest folks to shop elsewhere unless they really need something. My friend and I were going to hit up some trails close by and he decided to stop by the shop to see what they had in stock as he didnt yet own his own mountain bike. He doesnt really stay current with the new bike models just went to look around. Upon getting to the store he was greeted by a nice girl. A green trek 3700 caught his eye. He asked to see and threw a leg over to see if it was his size. When he asked how much it was the girl replied 550 plus tax. She indicated that he was lucky because she only had a small quantity left in stock in the green. He indicated to her that it was his first time buying a bike and all sorts of "rip him off" bells and whistles must have went off in her head. Little did my friend know that she pulled the wool over his eyes. He was buying an old 2012 model at the full 2013 retail price. She did not ever recommend he take it out for a test spin because she was so excited to rip off my friend. Then when he asked about helmets she sold him a giro for 50 dollars that retails for 40.

Should my friend have done some research before buying? Yes of course. But from a good bike shop I expect the employees to educate new consumers not try to rip them off. I personally plan on emailing trek to let them know of cart harts employees business practices.

Don't waste money here go to one of the many other good stores in the ny area.

Excellent customer service. Been there probably 4x in one week to try different bikes and have more questions which all have been answered. Very helpful to get what is right for you, no pressure at all. They all ride too.

Shop is beautiful in a great location (middle island - route 25). They usually have what you need in stock and carry a lot of inventory. Store is always clean and well organized

Customer Service is excellent. I bought 3 bikes there personally and have sent plenty of friends there who have been satisfied. They're not pushy whatsoever and lookout for what's best of the customer. They also include a year of free service for new bike purchases. A++

Outstanding service and fair prices. The owners treat people with respect and they do not try to sell you something that you do not need.

Customer Service

The customer service is great. I had a bike serviced there and the gears started skipping after 3 miles into my ride. I called them and they told me to bring it right in and they corrected it with no issues at all. I also bought a set of pedals that broke on me in the middle of a ride and they replaced them immediately. Excellent service.
