I purchased a brand new IBIS Mojo HD3 Werx build with Sram Eagle. He worked through every little detail. The entire process from our first chat to delivery was fantastic..

He was careful to make sure I got the correct dropper for my seat height. He even got me in touch with a guru at IBIS to advise on tires for my riding style and trails. He swapped out the stock tires with the perfect setup for my trails. He dialed in the suspension for me, works great. The bike was perfect for for my first ride, built out just right.

This was a big investment and Lou was a low pressure guy who answered every question. I was definitely a high maintenance buyer asking tons of questions before I parted with my money. Lou could not have been more patient or informative. Not only was the service awesome, but the price was rock solid as well. No hesitations to use Lou and BriarCliff in the future.

Lou and Andrew at Briarcliff Bike Works have been fantastic! They offer EXTREMELY competitive prices on top of the line equipment, prices are best in the area. I purchased a frame, most of the drivetrain and other miscellaneous parts for my custom built Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon through them. They built the bike for me and as far as workmanship goes, these guys are certainly top notch, they are extremely knowledgeable and were super patient and helpful throughout the entire process. I picked out every part of the bike down to the last bolt and they provided me with their unbiased opinion and insight on every aspect of the build in order to best fit my needs.
As far as customer service goes, Briarcliff Bike Works is second to none. Lou was nice enough to come along on a test ride for a bike I was initially considering on purchasing, I never felt pressured into buying the bike; it was more like riding with a buddy. A couple weeks after my original purchase I had to file a warranty claim with Santa Cruz (I was at fault), and I must say I’m absolutely speechless of how far above and beyond these guys will go to do right by their customers. I would highly recommend Briarcliff to anyone considering purchasing their next bike, having their current one serviced or any other bike related need, you can rest assured with these guys you’ll always be taken care of.

Absolutely outstanding.

I was looking to build my best attempt at a dream bike and wanted to try the Ibis Ripley but finding a shop that had demos in the winter was not easy. I almost flew to CA. After speaking with Ibis they recommended Lou at Briar. I called him on Monday and by Sunday I was trying both the medium and large. Lou was extremely helpful with the setup, information, etc. He rode with me for a couple of hours on some decent single track stash at his local. There was no pressure and questions were answered. Once I made the decision to buy he spent a good amount of time discussing parts and providing options at different price points - very helpful.

Overal I would rate my experience with the shop and Lou as outstanding and would highly recommend the shop to others but keep in mind this is a high end shop.

I stopped in one afternoon after trashing one of my stock platforms on my Trek Wahoo. Ended up leaving with a new set of platforms and grips. They treated me with respect and gave me great advice for being a noob rider. They even pulled a set of platform pedals off one of their floor bikes to get me back riding.

I recently had the pleasure of building an Intense Carbine 27.5 with Lou at Briarcliff bikeworks. From day one Lou discussed at length all of the options, and the pro's and con's of particular choices. With his knowledge of our local trails, the information was invaluable, and ultimately resulted in the perfect bike and build for me.

When the bike was finished we spent at least an hour at the shop together dialing in the fit and suspension settings. The customer service far surpassed my expectations, and I highly recommend working with this shop.

I'm from the UK but work in the US I wanted an ibis mojo HD and spoke to several shops. Lou at the shop gave me lots of advice and could supply everything I needed.

I drove to see Lou who spent consideral time with me as I couldn't decide sizes, he switched out stems and forks so I could try both sizes.
When size was decided we changed the standard ibis spec to suit my ridding style, and it didn't cost much more than the standard build.
I had it sent to the UK, it was well packaged and went together perfectly.

Expertise in suspension- this alone is worth its weight in gold. Not many shops understand the broad brush strokes, let alone the subtle nuances like this shop does. Having a fork or shock work is key.

Wheels- Lou, the owner of the shop, makes high quality wheels. I have bought wheels from various builders and shops from around the country and his work is on par with the very best or exceeds the so-called experts.

This isn't a massive place with a 15 year old kid selling you a bike. Rather, Lou, himself, will attend to it. Now for the "cool" factor- I was riding at Graham- on a Sunday at 8am- and my rear hanger broke. Ride over, right? Wrong! Out of the blue I see Lou and Dawn who were at the trail doing trail work! Lou FIXES MY BIKE ON THE SPOT. I get my ride in AND THEN HE TAKES THE BIKE WITH HIM TO MAKE A PERMANENT REPAIR! Talk about customer service! High-end boutique shop focused on mountain bikes, but they stock some great road bikes too. Rare for a shop to have such a good selection of high-end bikes, frames, components, etc. It's a cool shop, feels more like someone's living room than a typical bike store.

After riding a Fat Chance Yo Eddy since 1993, I decided to get an Ibis Mojo SL after having the opportunity to demo a Mojo at the Mountain Bike Oregon festival last July.

This was a significant purchase for me, both in price and importance. After shopping around local shops, online and across the country by phone, I decided to purchase the bike from Lou at Briarcliff Bike Works because of his knowledge, enthusiasm and responsiveness. I live in Manhattan and could have gotten the bike from a shop here, but I rented a car and headed up to BBW after trading some emails and a couple phone calls with Lou.

He was able to put together a custom build-up (including wheels) on a very tight schedule. I got a great price on the bike, which was a bonus because the level of service I got throughout the process was well worth paying a premium for.
